Japanese Team Lights Up DIFF 2026 with Golden Nishiki Kamuro Silk Ribbons
The third competition night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, held on the evening of June 13, witnessed the impressive debut of the Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks team from Japan. With the theme "Culture," the Japanese team delivered a light show imbued with the Wabi-sabi philosophy, celebrating the beauty of imperfection and elegance in every moment.
The highlight of the performance was the brilliant golden fireworks called "Nishiki Kamuro," likened to shimmering golden silk ribbons stretching across the sky. This fireworks technique requires high precision, creating an effect of extended beams of light resembling silk, offering a sense of both grandeur and romance. The combination of traditional music and modern lighting kept the audience on the edge of their seats.
Tamaya Kitahara is one of Japan's veteran fireworks teams, participating in DIFF for the first time. Their performance not only impressed the judges strongly but also left an unforgettable impression on the residents and visitors in Da Nang. This continues to be a testament to the appeal of DIFF – an international-class cultural and tourism event that helps promote the image of this coastal city to the world.
