Wir haben heute sehr gut zu Abend gegessen. Alles wird frisch gekocht, mit Kräutern aus der Umgebung. Deswegen etwas Zeit mitbringen und genießen. Am besten haben uns die folgenden zwei Vorspeisen geschmeckt: -Papaya Salat mit Ingwer und smoky Hähnchen (gỏi đu đủ) - kleine Röllchen mit Shrimps und Schweinefleisch umhüllt mit Kräutern (tam hữu) Aber auch die Meeresfrüchte- Suppe mit Lotussamen (súp hải sản hạt sen) war sehr gut. Zum Abschluss hatten wir ein vegetarisches Gericht mit Wasserspinat(rau muống), Knoblauch, Tofu und Pilzen, das auch gut war. Vielen Dank für das tolle Essen!
Excellente cuisine préparée par la famille. C’était si bon que nous y sommes retournés le lendemain. Le maquereau était délicieux ainsi que les calamars grillés. Terrasse située aux abords du jardin. À ne pas manquer.
Nous y avons mangé 5 fois pendant le Têt 2026. Des plats aux saveurs incroyables...un cadre magnifique avec le potager attenant d'où provenaient les herbes fraîches des plats. Un accueil très sympathique.. Nous recommandons..

Un petit paradis culinaire au milieu des rizières ! Tout était succulent : les bánh xèo crousti-fondants, les calamars parfaitement grillés, et le plat mijoté à se damner. Produits frais, saveurs franches, cadre paisible… une vraie pépite à Hoi An. À faire absolument ! Et cela vient du jardin attenant 🥳
Acabo de terminar comer/cenar? en este maravilloso lugar. Entorno apacible. Comida exquisita. Unas berenjenas en cazuela de barro espectaculares y un pescado marinado en hoja de plátano sublime. Para terminar un smoothie secreto espectacular
C’est définitivement notre endroit préféré pour déjeuner à Hoi an, nous y revenons à chaque passage et depuis plusieurs années. Notre plat préféré les aubergines en claypot. N’hésitez à venir goûter c’est très bon et tellement peu cher.
遅めのランチで2時過ぎに伺ったので私たちの他にもう一家族のみでした。ご主人が少し英語を話して注文を取ってくれました。 主人はビーフステーキのミディアム、私はライス付きのエビの野菜とカシューナッツ炒め。 どちらもとても美味しかったし、とてもリーズナブル。息子のミルクコーヒーも美味しかったそうです。 My husband had a steak with chips & salad, I had shrimps sautéed with vegetables and cashew nuts coming with a bowl of rice. Both of the dishes were very tasty and such a reasonable price! Highly recommended 👍🏻

Magnifique lieux entre potager et rizière. La terrasse est belle et agréable. Nous avons juste fait un petit arrêt pour déguster des Tam Hữu, c’était une belle découverte tout était très frais, cueilli devant nous dans le jardin pour les herbes.
Délicieux repas faits maisons avec les herbes et légumes du jardin. Agréablement surpris par la salade de bœuf à la sauce tomate qui change de tout ce qu’on a goûté, le poisson à la feuille de bananier et le poulet a la citronnelle… tout était incroyable. Merci encore pour cet accueil chaleureux !
Délicieux et délicat ! Je recommande le poulet cuit dans la feuille de bananier. Situé à Tra que, tout près des rizières, pour une pause au calme si vous logez dans la vieille ville. Environ 15-20mn en vélo
Nous avons séjourné 2 semaines à Tra Qué. Nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer ce restaurant le 1er soir de notre arrivée. Un délice tous les soirs. Tout est délicieux. Mme Cuc et Mr Si sont adorables et produisent une cuisine fine pleine de saveurs. Merci pour leurs conseils et leur gentillesse.
Vraiment exceptionnel. Jamais mangé un repas vietnamien aussi bon en toute honnêteté. Le poulet en claypot était juste divin, les aubergines en claypot, les légumes à l’ail (je crois bien des water spinach) étaient excellents. J’y repense encore 10 jours après.
Nằm ngay làng rau Trà Quế nổi tiếng. Quán với view nhìn ra cánh đồng rất đẹp. Không gian đậm chất miệt vườn với đồ ăn đa dạng từ món ăn truyền thống Việt Nam đến các món western.
Mình đi ăn vào buổi trưa quán vắng khách. Cô chủ rất thân thiện. Tuy vậy đồ ăn giá hơi cao so với Hội An. Cơm rang tôm 95k, cơm rang gà 90k. Cá thu sốt 115k. Free trà. Tuy vậy không gian khá ok. Mát mẻ, nhìn ra vườn rau rất chill. Lần sau sẽ ghé ăn thử bánh xèo.
Hãy thử món mực nướng. Là người Việt Nam nhưng lần đầu tôi được ăn món mực nướng ngon như vậy. Chúc quán phát triển và luôn giữ vững phong độ.

Déjeuner en famille avec deux enfants lors de notre promenade à vélo. Le cadre est vraiment agréable. La terrasse est ventilée et vous avez vue sur les jardins aromatiques. Le repas était vraiment très bon. Nous avons goûté le poisson, le poulet et le bœuf, tout était parfait. Les légumes parfait également. Je recommande les yeux fermés.
Nhà hàng nhỏ xinh nằm cạnh vườn rau sạch cực kỳ mát mẻ. Hai đứa mình tìm kiếm quán ăn gần homestay đang ở và lựa chọn nhà hàng này, và kết quả cực kỳ tuyệt vời. Các món ăn đặc trưng được gia đình chế biến ngay tại chỗ với rau hái ngoài vườn cực kỳ tươi ngon. Các món tẩm ướp vô cùng vừa miệng, cô chú chủ nhà thân thiện và chiều khách hết ý luôn. Bọn mình gọi trà đá thì free. Mình đã ăn hai bữa ở nhà hàng này dù bọn mình chỉ ăn 2 bữa ở Hôi An thui. Cô chú chiều khách đến mức mình yêu cầu rau sống trộn không thịt => cô chú làm luôn dù không có trong menu. Sau khi ăn thì phần thanh toán mới gọi là bất ngờ: Bữa tối bọn mình gồm: - Bánh xèo (must try) - Thăn heo nướng mẻ (must try) - Cơm trắng - Rau xào - Mỳ xào hải sản Tổng cộng là 289k = )))) quá rẻ ạ. Bữa trưa mình ăn ít hơn: - Gà nướng lá sả (must try) - Cơm trắng - Rau xà lách trộn - Tam hữu (món kiểu cuốn tôm - thịt - hành) Total 190 k = ))) quá đã. Mong cô chú vẫn giữ vững việc kinh doanh để lần sau tụi mình có đi Hội An thì ghé tiếp.

Un endroit absolument incroyable, dans le calme et la verdure. Les mets sont d´une qualité fraîcheur fabuleuse ( les herbes viennent directement de leur potager), les saveurs très fines et le tout pour un prix incroyablement bas. A ne pas rater à Hoi An.
Best Bánh Xèo on earth
The restaurant is in the Trà Quế herb village. Veggies are freshly cut and cooked by the time you order the dish so it's very fresh and organic. Even though this restaurant is well known by its bánh xèo but we found the fish even more tasty and amazing. Stir fried morning glory is also nice. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

Quán án Việt, nấu kiểu hơi lai nửa Việt, nửa Tây, trình bày cũng lai nửa nọ, nửa kia. Có lẽ do đa phần là khách nước ngoài nên chọn phong cách nhue vậy. Đồ ăn lên nhanh, độc đáo, các bạn Tây sẽ rất thích. Mình thì không thích lắm.
Từ rau đến thịt hải sản đều tươi ngon. Chế biến tại chỗ ngon chất lượng đúng hương vị VN.

Off the beaten path, this place was a perfect lunch spot for us on the way cycling back from An Bang beach to Hoi An. The restaurant is on a small unpaved path by the water. It has a nice garden out front and a vegetable farm at the back. We had the secret drinks, bánh xèo (crispy pancakes from the Hoi An region), the mackerel in claypot, and the lemongrass calamari with salad. All food were cooked to order from scratch so it took a little while, but they are certainly worth the wait. The sticky sauces from the mackerel and calamari were so good that we had to asked for extra rice to finish them up; they gladly gave us more rice at no extra charge. The bill comes to $305K VND (about AUD19) - for the quality of the food, it's very reasonable. We were the only diners there when we got there around 2:30pm on a Friday. We had a great time spending time with two puppies and the little girl of the owner. The girl was so excited to show us the little fish in their ponds and the snails from their vegetable farm. It felt like we were dining at a friend's home in the countryside. The sustainably sourced fresh produce is a great plus of this place. I highly recommend this place if you want to have a relaxing Vietnamese meal away from the crowd.

Great authentic flavorful food at a good price. Came out quick and had big portion sizes. The sitting area also is in a cool breezy area with a great view of vegetable gardens.
Everything was absolutely delicious and aoo fresh! I recommend trying a grilled fish/chicken in banana leaves with lemongrass.
Real vietnamese food.while waitting for the food we enjoyed the green area with the rice field. Fresh food cooked on the spot. We choosed some traditional diches. Too bad we didn't had time to book for cooking classes Excellent
Lovely place with adorable and welcoming owners. Perfectly located next to the rice fields and the vegetable village, with small outdoor tables surrounded by greenery, very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The food is excellent : the best banh xeo we’ve had, and a special mention for the grilled mackerel in banana leaf !

Traditionelles kleines Restaurant welches absolut zu empfehlen ist. Dauerhaft super Qualität und gute Preise. Waren vor 10 Jahren schon hier, und es hat sich zu Glück nicht viel verändert Frischer Salat und Kräuter gedeihen direkt neben dem Restaurant. Werden bestimmt wiederkommen....
There isn't much to fault here. I've been living in Hoi An for the past 5 months and only recently made it over to Baby Mustard. It's probably some of the best food I've had since being here. The prices are good, the food is so tasty and the setting next to the rice fields makes this place worthy of a 5 stars review. Just a side note: They don't accept cards so bring cash with you.👍🏽
Delicious and fresh. The mackerel in banana leaf was a particular highlight. Very peaceful scenery of course surrounded by the farms. A lovely experience.
Don’t go any where else. Recommended by our hotel, and rightly so! This is by far the best meal we’ve had since we arrived in Vietnam 10 days ago. Good variety to choose from, outstanding Thank you.
Food as great, service was great, atmosphere was pleasant with a nice cooling breeze. Food turned up within five minutes of the estimated time, being about 30 minutes. All good.
A must visit when in Hoi An! We went twice in the three days we were there. A nice change of pace from the busy streets just a few km’s away and surrounded by the vegetable village, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The service was what made it one of our favourites of the trip, family run and clearly put in lots of care in making each meal. The food is incredible, with seasonal produce fresh from the garden which is visible from the dining area. The clay pot chicken and the steamed mackerel with seasonal veg were the standouts for us. The reviews complaining about the wait times are silly. You wait longer than other places sure, but the time and effort put in to each dish, as well as being a very small family run business makes up for the 15 minutes you wait for your food (feels like nothing when you the views and atmosphere are as nice as they are!) Will definitely be back next time we are in Hoi An!
The best family style food I’ve found in Hoi An. All of the dishes were delicious and well priced.Definitely recommend the papaya salad, pork clay pot and grilled chicken. The setting is beautiful looking over the rice paddies and vegetable village. The owner is also very nice. I’m surprised this place doesn’t get busier, definitely worth the trip.
What a find this restaurant was on our bicycle back to Hoi An old town from An Bang beach. The food & service was incredible & will stay with me for a very long time. The mackerel in banana leaf was exceptionally good. Wish we had time for a cooking class or to have had 1 more meal whilst in the area. Highly recommend
The restaurant sits beside open rice fields. Its bamboo architecture, unpretentious and light, lets the rural landscape breathe. Here, one can feel the countryside exactly as it is. Being the only guest that day, I found that the natural sounds of the fields became the atmosphere itself—gentle, quiet, and genuinely restorative. Midway through my tea, Western pop music began to play. I felt a quiet longing for the space to remain resting in its own natural sounds—the voice of the landscape itself. When I shared this thought, the owner graciously agreed without a moment’s hesitation. Because of the profound harmony I recognized here, I shared a reflection on what makes this sanctuary so beautiful: the rural vista, the bamboo, the wholesome food, and the unhurried time. These elements are a single, living symphony. I felt that Western melodies, however pleasant, might inadvertently muffle this delicate balance. If music is to return, traditional Vietnamese melodies would feel native to this space, as if they were rising from the earth itself. The owner listened with warmth and a sincere heart. This is the quiet magic that unfolds when beauty is recognized and spoken with gentleness. May this place continue to honor the sacred conversation between nature, time, and the people who walk upon this land.
The fish dish and bansheo were really delicious, the boss is kind. If I were to pick one of the delicious Banh Xeo I had during my trip to Vietnam, I would think of this place. + I was worried because I couldn't get a taxi when I arrived on a rainy night and was about to go back to my hotel, but the boss took me my hotel. Thank you for making warm memories.
This is the best food I have had in Vietnam after 7 days of eating out. We arrived 15 mins before closing and they stayed open for us. Very reasonable prices and kind service with good english

The food here is excellent . Just a short bike ride out of town near the vegetable village. The banh xeo was delicious and the papaya salad so fresh and tasty. All the food was freshly prepared and well presented . The star dish was the eggplant claypot. Highly recommended.
This grilled lemongrass chicken was my favourite meal I ate in all of Hoi An! Simple and flavourful, enjoyed in a quiet farm setting. A nice place to slow down and enjoy your time quietly ☺️
We had the place to ourselfs for over an hour. The vegetarian tofo in tomato sauce and the spring rolls with cashue nut, delicous. Very relaxed place overlooking the vegetable garden and ponds. More than happy to revisit :-)
We had a lovely experience, the family are very lovely and welcoming. We each ordered something different off the menu it was delicious. We tried their rice pancakes and the man kindly showed us how to make them, they were very good. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere nice to eat in Hoi An

Simply put, this restaurant was a dream. We loved the beautiful setting, and the kind, welcoming gentlemen who run it truly made our experience special. As for the food, it was divine and utterly delicious. My husband and I agree: this was the best meal we had during our entire trip to Vietnam.
This restaurant has truly found a place in my heart. I went there so many times and it was always a joy. Every single dish is worth trying, but the eggplant… I still dream about it! The location is beautiful 😍 set in the peaceful and less touristy area of the Vegetable Village. It feels special just being there. The owners are incredibly kind, and the whole place is run with such warmth and care. You can really taste the love in every bite. It’s a family-style restaurant where everything is cooked with heart. If you’re in Hoi An, don’t miss it. ✨
My experience at baby mustard was amazing! The service is wonderful. The waiting time is not that long but worth all the wait. When I got there me and my family couldn't decide on what to get, it all sounded delicious! I decided to get the secret drink, no spoilers but it's amazing! While you wait for your food you can walk out to the rice fields which are right next to the restaurant. People there are so kind and can help you with anything you need. The food is all made with love, and you can tell they to make it perfect for your liking. I would definitely recommend this you, your friend and family. İt's so kid friendly as well and also has a little fish pond with koi fish to watch and relax. Overall I loved baby mustard and I hope you do too😁
Op aanrader van een vriendin die hier vaak komt tijdens haar bezoek aan Hoi An ben ik hier gaan eten nadat ik net in mijn hotel in Tra Que was aangekomen ‘s avonds laat. Ik heb er gelijk heerlijk gegeten. De ruimte is open, klein beetje primitief en de stoelen niet heel comfortabel maar voor de rest was het werkelijk echt fantastisch. Volgens mij is het een family owned business en de eigenaar is super aardig. Ik ben 3x van de 4nachten teruggekomen. Het is er heerlijk rustig en de keuze is groot. Toch is elk gerecht met zorg en heel veel smaak gemaakt. De absolute aanrader was de gegrilde calamari in homemade Lemongrass en chili sauce. Heerlijk wil het recept wel! Wel moet je er aan denken dat je alleen met cash kunt betalen. Ik was dit helaas vergeten de tweede keer maar beloofde de volgende dag terug te komen om hier weer te eten en het resterende bedrag te betalen. Dat vond de eigenaar goed! Zo lief en behulpzaam. Zeker een aanrader aan iedereen die heerlijk wilt eten in rustige kalme setting in Herb village Tra Que. Een verademing voor iedereen die even wil ontsnappen aan de drukte van Hoi An.
I was excited to try this restaurant after seeing it on YouTube, expecting authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a charming countryside setting. As someone was born in Vietnam who has lived in the USA for over 50 years and eats Vietnamese food daily, I have a good sense of what authentic flavors should be. While the atmosphere was delightful and the staff, particularly the gentleman who served us, was incredibly kind, the food was a major disappointment. We ordered a chicken plate, a fish plate, a bowl of soup, and a vegetable plate, but none of the dishes had any flavor. The food lacked the vibrant, balanced taste I expect from Vietnamese cuisine, and my wife couldn’t even take a second bite. We paid our bill and left, feeling let down. While the ambiance and service were highlights, I can’t recommend this place for authentic Vietnamese food. The positive reviews likely come from customers who don’t eat Vietnamese food regularly and are charmed by the atmosphere and service. If you’re seeking genuine Vietnamese flavors, look elsewhere. Rating: 2/5 stars
There is a really sweet and welcoming family that runs this restaurant. Unfortunately, as a family run business, they are also sorely understaffed. We ordered the Steamed Mackerel in Rice Paper and the Grilled Pork in Sesame Sauce. We also ordered a couple ginger mint teas. The good news is the food was delicious and you can taste how fresh everything is being its footsteps from the vegetable gardens. However, as some people have mentioned, the service is painfully slow. We didn't get our drinks until halfway through our meal. And our meals took nearly 1 hour to prepare. I understand the atmosphere in Hoi An is more "island time", but it was quite slow relative to the many other restaurants we ate at around the area. And it wasn't that busy either, only 3 other tables.
Firstly, the food here is delicious. Yes it took some time to receive the food, but it was really worth the wait. The lemon grass chicken was the highlight, and I really enjoyed the steak as well. My only minor complaint was I ordered an iced ginger and mint tea, but it came out luke warm without ice. I could have asked for some ice, so more my problem than theirs. Great food though, and I would happily eat here again.
We’ve visited this place during our bicycles ride. The personel is great and welcomed us to their restaurant, on the backyard they have a garden and they grow mint and then make for the customers tea out of this mint. I’ve never tried before such a fresh made mint tea, it was just freshly mixed for us. The calamari and fish were just amazing.
Such a shame we discovered this gem at the end of our stay in Hoi An. Would have loved to have gone back, or do a cooking class with them. The river on one side, the vegetable farm on the other, the airy restaurant is a great respite from the tourist-packed areas of the old town and the beach areas. Service is excellent, and the food fresh and delicious. Loved everything we ordered!
😋 Unforgettable spring rolls This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise! Every bite felt incredibly fresh, and the Vietnamese spring rolls were a standout. 🤩 While it’s a dish every Vietnamese restaurant seems to offer, theirs was different—not greasy, just incredibly tasty! I’d say these are the best spring rolls I’ve had so far in Hoi An. 😍😍😍 They also serve a small plate of homemade garlic sauce on the side, which paired perfectly with the spring rolls. Highly recommend trying it with the sauce! 🤤🤤🤤
Gelesen haben wir von diesem Restaurant als Geheimtipp in unserem Reiseführer. Nachdem wir einmal hier waren, wurde das Baby Mustard zu unserem Lieblingsrestaurant. Während unserer Zeit in Vietnam, waren wir in keinem Lokal so oft, wie in diesem. Aus folgenden Gründen möchten wir unbedingt empfehlen hier zu essen: - Das Essen ist extrem lecker, frisch und das verwendete Biogemüse stammt von den Feldern vor der Tür. Man fühlt sich einfach gut beim Essen. - Hier gibt es traditionelle Gerichte und echte Klassiker in hoher Qualität und mit einer kleinen Anleitung, wie man die Gerichte isst. - Die Besitzer des Restaurants sind sehr freundliche und herzliche Menschen. Wir haben sogar Mangos aus dem eigenen Garten geschenkt bekommen! - Die Preise sind mehr als fair. - Es ist ein wahrer Geheimtipp. Hier gibt es keine Reisebusse, die ausgekippt werden oder große Tourimassen.
리뷰에 집밥 먹는 느낌이라고 하신 이유를 알겠더라구요- 자극적이지 않은 건강한 맛에 재료들이 살아있어 맥주보다 밥이 땡기는 맛이었어요! 돼지고기 그린망고 샐러드, 레몬그라스 치킨, 모닝글로리 먹었는데 다 맛있었어요. 음식들이 조금 천천히 나오긴 합니다. 뒤에 논밭도 있으니 구경하기 좋아요 :)
One of my favourite meals in Vietnam!!! The vegetables and herbs are so fresh, with the lemon salad providing the perfect palate cleanser. The grilled chicken was so juicy and had a beautiful charred sweetness. The starter (tam huu) was so refreshing. Sitting outside, in the shade, with the breeze blowing, was so relaxing. The surrounding garden and fields are gorgeous.
I ordered grilled mackerel and grilled pork, both delicious. I don’t have to to wait too long for the foods but I waited for 15-20 minutes to get my bills. It was past Lunch time around 3pm, so there is only 3 tables with small groups of people including me. Except that, everything is great. The staffs are super friendly and polite especially the older lady.
Best restaurant in Hoi An! Very fresh food - delicious flavours! We came here twice on our short trip. Family owned business with an option to do cooking classes. We tried the mango salad, Tom yum soup, grilled fish in banana leaf, grilled chicken, calamari! Everything was really tasty!
@mealsoflegend: Absolutely delicious and freshly made. They source a lot of what you eat from the little adjacent farm. Small operation so don’t come here in a hurry. Relax and enjoy the food.
Baby Mustard in Hoi An is an absolute culinary gem! The food was hands down the best I’ve had during my Vietnam trip so far. I started with the fried vegetable spring rolls, served with an amazing chili sauce that was the perfect balance of spice and flavor. For my main, I had the chicken with lemon leaf, which was incredibly fragrant and absolutely delicious. Every dish was bursting with fresh flavors, clearly made with love and top-quality ingredients. I was so immersed in the amazing food that I completely forgot to take pictures! The setting is charming, surrounded by lush gardens, and the staff are incredibly warm and attentive. If you’re in Hoi An, don’t miss this unforgettable dining experience—it’s worth every bite!

Wow. After spending almost a week eating in Hoi An from roadside stands to the touristy places in old town, this place blew me away. There are three generations cooking your food and their experience shows. Ban xeo, green papaya salad, sea bass in banana leaf were all 10/10. This area is the vegetable district where they all grow their own herbs and veggies, doesn’t get much fresher than than! Note: this review was left without the owner asking me to! A lot of business owners can be pushy about leaving 5 star reviews so don’t believe everything you read!
You can taste the juiceness of the freshly picked herbs here. Loved the lemongrass beef with la lot leaves. The mango salad was delicious too. Only the mint tea with ginger wasn't that great. Too many small mint leaves. Hard to drink.
The food is excellent. I enjoyed the eggplant and a clay pot and my partner had braised pork.

Had lunch here on a quiet afternoon. The food was very good, especially the marinated chicken. The chicken was incredibly tasty. However, this is not the place to go if you're in a hurry. Everything takes a very long time.
Rental bikes broke down on the bridge. Stopped in here for Saigons and snacks. Beautiful outdoor restaurant with stunning sunset views of the rice paddies. The owners are extremely friendly and were so kind even though my hands were covered in bike grease when we arrived.
This restaurant is located in the "Tra Que - vegetable village" which means the ingredients grow right next to the table and are very, very fresh. The flavor of the food is amazing. Even the pure rice is very delicious. The restaurant is very clean. The staff is very friendly and simply makes you feel welcome right away 🙏🤩
Super relaxed restaurant on the edge of the vegetable gardens of Hoi An. You can tell the food has just jumped over the fence and onto your plate. It was quiet the night we went but it's apparently very popular with the local foodies. The flavours of the mackerel were superb!

Food wise, 5 stars. The food was amazing. The fish, beef and chicken were all cooked just right. We come across so many places overcooking their meat but they handled it exceptionally well here. Our only complain is that we had to wait over an hour for our food - we asked about the waiting time when we placed our order, and the answer was 20-30 mins. We would have appreciated if he had told us it would take longer, as my partner has stomach issues and cannot eat too late in the evening. We would have went somewhere else and return when they are less busy. The decor was very rustic. Towards the end of our meal, we were bitten by some bugs, otherwise a great ambiance.
A fantastic restaurant out in the gardens and rice fields near An Ban Beach. Very tranquil and ran by a lovely husband and wife team. Incredibly flavorful food that is carefully and lovingly produced, with the gardens you sit next to providing some of the ingredients.
The food was really good. The service was also good. The prices were low compared to Hoi An old town. They have a small farm behind the restaurant. There are paddy fields opposite the restaurant. The view is very beautiful. When we went the toilet was closed, the owner informed us as soon as we reached. Fresh spring rolls and fried pancakes are a must try.

A fellow USA friend, now living in Da Nang, recommended this restaurant when he knew we were visiting Hoi An. And what a great little hidden gem oasis for a meal! We arrived late afternoon, where we found the entire outdoor patio to ourselves. We had a welcoming staff - all smiles - to introduce themselves and take our orders. The woman who initially served us was joyful and happy to provide menu insight. The view and ambiance is breezy and beautiful among the rice fields. It’s so peaceful. The food is fresh fresh fresh! Vegetables come from the family garden adjacent to the establishment and we could see them preparing the food in the back window to the kitchen. Our fried rice dishes and spring rolls were crispy, hot, and divinely delicious. One of the family members came out to chat with us for a bit and made us feel like guests in his own home. We were so impressed and would recommend this place to anyone! Thank you, Baby Mustard!
Our favorite meal in Vietnam! My husband and I had dinner here based on a friend’s recommendation and it was incredible. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a garden on one side and rice paddies in view on the other. The owner and his family were SO kind and precious. We instantly felt at home as soon as we walked in. The food was AMAZING, with the most fresh veggies right from the garden. The homemade garlic ginger sauce was unbelievable!!! We had clay pot pork, Bo luc lac, shrimp and pork rolls, and seafood noodles and WOW! Every bite was so full of flavor and love. Such a wonderful gem of a place, do yourself and your belly a favor and eat here!
So delicious! We had the pork and mango salad, grilled calamari and grilled mackerel and it was all so so good. The calamari was particularly delicious, I could have had another plate. The owner was really nice and it's a lovely place to eat next to the garden.
Fantastic restaurant with delicious food and a great atmosphere. Located in Tra Que vegetable village, it’s about 2-3 km away from Hoi An old town, but easy to reach by bicycle or Grab motorbike. I stopped here on the way to An Bang beach from Hoi An, and I’m glad I did. The food was delicious, and the scenery perfect for an afternoon lunch; herb gardens in one side and rice paddies on the other. I ordered the Bahn Xeo appetizer, which is definitely the best version of this Vietnamese pancake I’ve had. Very crispy and tasty, and the sever (owner?) patiently explained to me the right steps in eating it, involving wetting the rice paper and rolling it up like a spring roll. The grilled mackerel wrapped in banana leaves was likewise delicious; the strong mackerel flavor well balanced by the herbs it was cooked in. Service was also fantastic and good reasonably priced; perfect stop for lunch or dinner on way to/from An Bang.
A fabulous location nice and peaceful overlooking the rice fields and gardens. Staff very warm and friendly. Food fresh and amazing. Enjoyed our meals would highly recommend to visit here on your next trip to Hoi An Banana pancake the highlight. Turmeric fish awesome
This place actually deserves beyond 5 stars. I came here twice during my stay in Hoi An. I do consider myself a foodie and the mackerel in clay pot and mackerel in banana leaf.. both have so much flavor and makes me love Vietnamese food even more. I also got the papaya salad and squid salad.. delicious!
Genuienly might be the best food I had on my whole trip. It takes a little longer to come out but that is because it is all being made fresh and they are using herbs and veggies straight from the garden. Lovely chill atmosphere too. If you are staying in Hoi An I highly recommend borrowing bike and cycling through the fields to come here. Great little escape from Hoi An old town. I had Goi Muc Hat Dieu (Calamari Salad) and Heo Nuong Me (Grilled Pork with Salad) and they were both delicious and packed with flavour.
Fantastic early dinner. The Banh Xeo (the highlight for us), Chicken Clay Pot and Grilled Mackerel were excellent - lots of subtle and very satisfying flavours and freshly prepared. You can tell they make wonderful use of the fresh produce they are growing on site. We highly recommend this gem!
Everything we tried off the menu was exceptional and it is well situated in a market garden / herb field. My favourites were the baby mustard salad, the green Mango salad and the bahn xeo. Staff are really friendly. I think Apple maps has this place on the wrong side of the main road, but Google maps got me right there.
Het eten is hier zo ontzettend lekker! Nergens lekkerder gegeten in HoiAn en omstreken. De groenten en kruiden groeien in de schitterende moestuin naast het mooie restaurant met uitzicht op de rijstvelden. We hadden een baby mustard salade met rundvlees, makreel in bananenblad en gegrilde kip met limoenblad. Allemaal geweldig!! Misschien morgen weer..
Most delicious and authentic food we had during our 10 day stay in Hoi An. The grilled mackarel in banana leaf was the best I ever ate. The service was great, and the atmosphere very pretty with the surrounding vegetable garden & rice fields. Came for a second time and very sad to not be able to come for a third.
This restaurant is definitely my favorite. I’ve been to this restaurant for many times. Every dish that I had here was so delicious. The price here is also very reasonable. I love this restaurant.
Leckeres lokales Restaurant. Drei von Vier Gerichten waren sehr lecker. Den Kürbis-Reis können wir nicht empfehlen. Ansonsten auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.
Rustig gelegen restaurantje met uitzicht op de rijstvelden. Alles wordt vers bereid in de keuken. Dat merk je aan de wachttijd. Er zat 1 ander tafeltje, dus niet druk, en toch meer dan een uur gewacht op het eten. Ik bestelde de prawn soup en chicken in claypot. Soep was wat flauw, maar geen personeel om iets van peper / zout te vragen. De chicken in claypot was wel erg goed en goed op smaak! Lang wachten, maar goed eten!
Best aspect is the place, I'm here at lunch and the atmosphere is surreal, under some fresh shade enjoying the view of Tra Que village and rice fields. The service and the food was good, you can taste the freshness of the ingredients, but something lacked for the 5 stars. Recommended if are visiting Tra Que or you wanna spend sometime away from the fast and loud mood of the city, here everything seems calm and placid. Ein super authentisches Lokal mit leckeren vietnamesischen Gerichten und tollem Service. Die gegrillte Makrele im Bananenblatt fanden wir besonders lecker, aber auch Morning Glory und Fried Rice mit Tofu war super! Das Restaurant ist auch für Take-away Essen sehr zu empfehlen.
Motor kiraladığımız gün Serkan'in önerisi ile gittik, * seçimlerimiz bizi memnun etti, *fiyatlar gayet makul, *sahibi nazik ve ingilizce biliyor kolay anlaştık, *Servis hızlı *Yemekler lezzetli *Mekandaki masalar sandalyeler bambu ve çok da sevimli, Hoi an için favorim diyebilirim 😉
I like that they have their own little vegetables garden and very nice food here. All the food was very lovely.
Had some great dishes here. The shrimp pancakes were excellent. The squid salad was also excellent. Set on a nice deck in the garden area of Hoi An. Staff are helpful and efficient. I would spray legs with anti-mosquito spray as your out a little bit in the country.
Was fortunate enough to find this place on google maps - wow! It is worth every review. I had the famous grilled chicken on lemongrass leaf, I was a bit unsure since I wanted to try everything on the menu but it was so worth it. I hadn’t had anything so tasty in a long time. The space is super cute too, it was empty which is a shame, so go there if you have a chance! I’ll definitely come back if I can
My new favorite restaurant in Hoi An! The food is fresh, healthy and fantastic. The staff are so friendly and the setting is beautiful (looking out over the river and rice paddie in one direction and the garden in the opposite). We came twice in 1 week and plan to return again before we leave! Everything we tried was incredible, but my favorites were the Bahn Xeo, Grilled chicken with lemon grass, and pork in a clay pot. My boyfriend loved their calamari!
From start to finish this place has been one of the best places we have ever eaten. Recommended by our host and only a 5 minute walk from where we are staying. Great atmosphere and amazing location, quiet and relaxing. Food is fresh and delicious. There is an extensive menu with vegetarian options. One side is rice paddies and the other side the kitchens garden. When it's raining spend some time here and relax and soak in the good food and atmosphere 😌 One more thing, the hot milk coffee is probably the best in the world! Who would have thought?!
We had been recommended this place by friends who said they ate here twice they loved it so much. It was so good we ended up doing the same, the lemongrass leaf chicken/beef, clay pot and chicken sweet n sour is the best food we had in Vietnam. All the herbs and veg are from the surrounding village on the island. It was very quiet both times when we went but please don't let that put you off, the owner is so sweet with his family cooking, it takes a while as they prep it fresh but its so worth the wait.
Nice ambience at a quiet secret hideout. Service by a humble man with wonderful meals made behind a simple old school kitchen. Their main dish baby mustard is a their main highlight. Follow by grill chicken, grill fish and soup wonderfully made. Highly recommended for anyone coming to Hoi An.
Super tasty place, would widely recommend. The place is placed between gardens so fresh air is constantly flowing. Children can go play in the surroundings without getting rolled over by bikes or cars. Food is delicious and the owners are friendly. Let them recommend you what to ear. Ate here 4 times during our stay in Hoi An and was absolutely blown away by the dishes served. They have a chef's garden so all veggies and herbs are freshly plucked. It was probably the best food we had during the two weeks time we were in Vietnam. The ambience is beautiful, a bamboo house restaurant nestled between curated gardens and rice paddies in the distance. Would definitely recommend to anyone seeking delicious and fresh Vietnamese food.
We had a feast here! All the dishes were flavorful, refresh, and not too oily/fried. It was a healthy and filling lunch spot. Get all of the veggie dishes! The pork claypot and eggplant claypot are a must. I had the best banh xeo of my life here
In our 8 days trip in Vietnam, this was by far our entire family’s most enjoyable meal. It was fresh, excellent taste, wonderful relaxing environment, beautiful scenery. All for a very good value (cheap) price. Highly recommend a visit. All the dishes were great. All 3 picky kids of mine agreed, even eating their greens!!
Eight years ago we ate at the Baby Mustard and were delighted with the quality, taste, surroundings and value. We revisited today and found that it still to be the same excellent experience. Dining is in an airy, open covered courtyard beside their large vegetable and herb garden. Located a short walk or cycle from Hoi An on the way to the beach, baby mustard has a lovely rural outlook. We have come back three times in the past week and everything we have tried is fantastically fresh and flavoursome, with the papaya salad out of this world. You will not be disappointed.
너무 맛있습니다 진짜로 반세오는 호이안에서 가장 맛있습니다. 사장님도 친절하시고 음식이 다 맛있습니다. 맛있어서 두번이나 왔는데 사장님이 기억해 주셨어요. 다낭가는데 또 오고싶을것같아요 한국가도 생각날 맛 감동적인 맛. 반세오는 사진을 깜빡했네요 ㅎㅎ
A bit boring food in a great location. The restaurant is located in a gorgeous place with views over the rice fields and a beautiful, well-kept garden around it. Generous portions. However, some of the food was boring. The banh xeo was one of the most tasteless we've had after one month in Hoi An. Papaya or was it mango salad with chicken was also tasteless despite all the flavourful ingredients... The stars of the menu were the spring rolls and we'd also revommend the baby mustard-beef salad.
こんなに美味しいバインセオがあるとは！ 材料がシンプルな料理だし、日本で食べてもじゅうぶんに美味しいと思っていましたが、ここのは別格でした。 レモンジュースや海老と豚肉の巻物も美味しかった。 店員さんも感じが良く、入った時は先客1組でしたが、あっという間に満席に。人数が多ければ、もっと色々な料理を頼みたかったくらい良いお店。
It’s true what they say!!! Unbelievably delicious and authentic, it is a bit out of the way- but if you are staying in one of the resorts on the beach, it is on your way to Hoi An, and you can take Grab there! The food was the best we had in the area, and for this kind of price, you can eat to your heart’s content without having to worry about your travel budget. They offer cooking classes too, which we wanted to take so very badly- but they do not offer air conditioning (the only downside we could think of) and so please consider the time of day when signing up!
최고입니다! 베트남 여행이 처음이고 많은 레스토랑을 다녀보진 않았지만 맛집이라는 건 알겠네요. 깨끗하고 정성스럽습니다! 너무 맛있어요.. 유명블로그가 추천한 반쎄오 맛집을 갔다가 적잖이 실망하였는데 이곳과 비교할 수가 없네요! 가게 직원분이 놀라실 정도로 둘이 많이 먹었습니다. 레몬그라스 치킨 구이는 꼭 드세요.. 반쎄오도요.. 여긴 정말 맛집입니당 ! 시골길도 매력있어요 노을 지는 시간에 감동적으로 예쁘고, 물소들을 구경할 수도 있었습니다. 너무 좋은 시간을 보냈습니다.
구글 리뷰보고 우연히 알게되었어요 한적한 로컬음식을 드시고 싶으시면 추천드리고 싶습니다 중국인,유럽인,한국인 3테이블 손님있네요 제일 먼저 반세오 부터 새우뽁음밥, 닭고기로 만든 음식인데 이름은 모르겠어요^^ 시크릿,수박음료 두개 요렇게 해서 한국돈 15,000원 정도 나온 것 같아요 로컬동네라서 그랩보다는 페스트고 콜 하시면 잘 잡힙니다. 다음에도 재방문 할 생각 있습니다. 유명한 식당도 많지만 로컬 느낌의 식당도 가는것도 좋을 것 같네요
In the middle of nature there is this fantastic restaurant. Prices are a bit higher than the average but still ok. A lot of choice to eat. But the food is not as expected. My dishes where very simple and without taste. The rice with vegetables contains very few vegetables and spices for a restaurant being situated in a village, known for their vegetables and spices. I recommend this place if you want a quite place where to eat during your bike ride in the fields of the next Village and you are starving.
We were highly recommended by our villa caretaker. The restaurant was very quaint and quiet at the time but a perfect location with our family of six. We ordered our beverages which were very cold and very receptive with the warm weather. We ordered 2 x sweet & sour chickens, 2 x noodles with vegetables, BBQ chicken and special fried seafood. The food was delicious! All the ingredients were fresh as we dipped in and out of each other's food. There was a sense of silence from time to time as we were overwhelmed with multiplying tastebuds. My sweet & sour was so scrumptious, I wanted more but was full up! Crazy! Make no mistake, we have been in Vietnam for past two weeks and thought we had tasted the best to date but when each family member feedback scored ten with one at 9.5 (aged 11) then we were in the right place, at the right time. It was a no brainer for us all to agree to definitely come back here again for more. I requested to meet with the chef and promptly shook his hand and complimented him on his night's work. Chef was a humble gentleman with many years of experience. Please do not miss this opportunity to enjoy local cuisine at reasonable prices. We have been blessed this evening. Colin⁸
간판에서 볼 수 있듯 쿠킹 클래스도 운영중인 한적한 로컬 식당이다. 다낭에서 호이안으로 가는길에 주변 검색해서 찾아간 곳인데 기대 이상으로 만족했다. 다른 분의 리뷰에서 본 레몬그라스 잎을 얹어 구워낸 닭요리와 반쎄오, 생강으로 양념한 오징어볶음을 먹었는데 맛있었다. 물론 사람마다 평가가 다를 수 있을수 있지만, 개인적으론 여행지의 로컬 음식에 대한 기대를 충족한 느낌이다. 둘이서 먹을 양만 시켜서 다양한 메뉴를 맛보지 못한게 조금 아쉬울정도... 주문 후 요리가 나오기까지 시간이 조금 걸린다. 반쯤 오픈키친 느낌으로 주방에서 바쁘게 왔다갔다 하시는걸 볼수 있어서 그냥 맘편하게 기다렸다. 주인분은 영어가 굉장히 능숙해서 주문이나 질문도 편하게 했고, 결정적으로 여기선 그랩을 이용한 이동이 쉽지 않은 단점아닌 단점이 있었는데(불러도 부킹이 안된다.....) 주인분에게 택시를 불러달라고 요청하면 쉽게 빠져(?)나올수 있다. 다음에 다낭을 또 오게 된다면 한번 쯤 다시 들러보고 싶은 곳이었다.
A lovely, out of the way, peaceful experience. The restaurant is a little off the main road and when you arrive you pass through a lovely garden. The seating area also backs up to a big, beautiful garden that is very quiet and just relaxing to look over. We ordered calamari, pork with sesame seeds that came with a small but delicious cucumber, tomato and onion salad, fried rice with tofu and vegetables, fried rice with chicken, chicken with lemongrass and chili, and finally the beef steak. Every bite was wonderful!!! Do not miss out on this place!!!

ホイアン郊外のホテルから微妙な距離でしたが、チャリンコで行くのも有りかと思いましたが、夕食後のチャリはキツイと思い無難にタクシーで行きました。タクシーの中でオフラインGoogleマップを見ながらチェックしました。とても便利ですね。simを購入しなくても何とかなります。途中ヨーロッパ系の方々が沢山自転車を漕いでいました。タフな方々です。浜辺の手前の橋で左折し未舗装をガタガタ……と到着！最初は私達一組だけ。メニューをチョイスしている間頼んだドリンクは冷えがイマイチ……程なく運ばれた料理はとても美味しい！ので一安心。2人分頼めば良かったかな？レストランから見える敷地の野菜畑から必要な分を収穫して来ているので、新鮮でしっかりした風味で料理が際立ちますね。抜群です！その野菜畑を手入れしている方々が居ました。叩いて柔らかく（若干伸ばし気味）したベトナム牛に刻みニンニクたっぷりのソイソースが美味しいステーキを食べ終えて大満足。 帰りのタクシーをお願いしたのですが間が悪かったのか10分以上待ちました。場所が街から離れていますからしようがないですね。でもとても満足度が高いです！訪れて欲しい一件です
일단 장소가 논밭 한가운데 느낌으로 특이합니다. 사진 찍기좋구요. 음식도 맛있습니다. 사장님한테 추천해달라고 하셔요. 시크릿쥬스가 있는데 정말맛있습니다.
We came here for lunch before heading out to the An Bang Beach. What a lunch! For starters, we went with the pancakes with noodles, shrimp and pork, which I HIGHLY recommend. One of these is more than enough for 2 people, and it's really good. Then we ordered pork with in sweet-sour sauce and the mackerel, which were also very nice. I particularly enjoyed the mackerel, highly recommend that as well! Last but not least, we drank the "Secret drink", which I suspect to be something with passion fruit... It was delicious, and I would order it again. In total our lunch came to 311k, which I believe to be a very fair price for the food quality and the nice service provided. If you're going to the beach (or heading back from), do consider stopping by here!
Great authentic food, fresh out of the box. You get vietnamese cuisine at its best in a beautiful atmosphere. The ingredients can not be fresher, herbs come from the garden around. Try the cooking class, its awesome 😉 …
