I was satisfied by the overall experience. I liked most of the dishes, and the association of tastes and flavours. I really liked how each dish was called by its Vietnamese name, while it was actually closer to its European version (wonton instead of ravioli, banh mi instead of éclair). However I cannot say I’ve been fully amazed. Also the service was a bit messy, i didn’t understand which drink was suposed to be paired with which dish, as they kept on bringing drinks, and the waiters don’t really speak english, so I was only referring to the menu for information.
Accord boissons : 600k. Le Grab de Hoï An est d'environ 60k, 120k a/r.
Tất cả các món đều rất hợp vị mình, đi kèm đồ uống rất hợp. Nhân viên dễ thương, nhiệt tình. Mình rất muốn quay lại nếu có dịp đi Hội An.
Wow! Quelle belle surprise.
On my solo visit the portions felt generous, almost too much for one person. The food leaned creative yet homely: warm and comforting, but not sophisticated. Even the sake pairing was a little too sweet to elevate the dishes for me. The atmosphere is what stood out to me most. It felt casual, cozy, and very much Hội An. My dining companion was even a neighbor’s puppy, which gave the evening a warm and unpretentious charm. As a visitor, I found the price acceptable for such a unique experience. But as a local, I would wait for more bold flavors or exciting collaborations before I return. In its current form, Mùa offers a memorable setting with space to grow in the kitchen.
Me and my partner visited Mùa to celebrate his birthday. We could have not wished for a better evening.Everything was incredible!

Đậm cái chất chill chill của Hội An. Một bữa trưa quá sức hài lòng và no căng cả bụng.

Super super consigliato!!
The "Bánh Tiêu" and "Riêu cua" crab dishes were the best things I’ve eaten in Vietnam. It was so good — and I’m impressed by how chef Lang is able to modernize these dishes. The steamed snapper on a bed of black sesame paste topped with a white sesame cloak was also brilliant. The smell from the dish was delicate and aromatic. Also love the rice dish in the claypot. There were plenty of other things to eat it with but the natural sweetness of the rice made it good enough to eat it on its own. The staff later said they use ST25 rice when I commented on the dish. Overall, this was the best meal I’ve had in Vietnam. It bests even the Michelin-star restaurants in Ho Chi Minh. Thank you team!
I honestly fell in love twice tonight - first with the service and second with the food. Hiên was delightful, explaining the ingredients of each dish, why they were included, and how it was prepared. The food was impeccable. I’m honestly at a loss for words to describe how meaningful the meal was. I truly believe this may be the high bar for life. Thank you to Hiên and the rest of the wonderful staff for a perfect evening. -Carson
Vivamente consigliato!
A truly memorable experience dining at Mùa for their Fall menu, each dish was rich in flavor and story that Hien presented, coupled with the complementing cocktails that Vy has created. The highlight for me was the main course as presented by Co Chuyen that made me feel at home, reminded me of my mom making me eat so much to recover from a long day 🥲🙏 My stomach if full, and so it my heart. The story, the craft, the purpose of presenting dishes with local seasonal ingredients, great respect to Chef Tru and the team 🙏 But of course, the pièce de résistance for me was dessert! As highlighted by the “Banh mi” (filled with peanut cream and seasonal fruits), I just had to get a second order of this signature dessert. When you’re in Hoi An, hope you have the same great experience at Mùa. I’ll be back for the next season for sure! 😋✨
Dernière soirée à Hội An inoubliable!
Quán làm menu đúng như tên - menu theo mùa - rất đặc sắc, nêm nếm vừa miệng, ăn ngon, nhân viên hiểu rõ từng món ăn và trình bày cho thực khách rất chu đáo. Highly recommend ạ ♥️
Đáng để trải nghiệm
So, we were here during the monsoon that was coming through Hoi An in late October. We came out to the Tra Que agricultural community to walk around and get out of Hoi An (which is really just a Disneyland version of what it must have once been). This little island area is where all the cooking schools are. So I'm sure it's overrun with tourists in the summer. But we were told to check out Múa so we did. We are so happy we found this place, so much so we left our hotel room and switched to the hotel that is next to the restaurant. But that's another review for another time. Now, the restaurant. The next morning, over coffee and breakfast that the restaurant made for us, we were discussing what made Múa so special. Was it the food? Well simply yes. The chefs and staff are doing an amazing tasting menu that is a haute cuisine version of traditional food and flavors that is deeply respectful of and honors the origins of the dish and the ingredients. They source everything from ecologically sustainable sources that promote local production. And you can taste the difference. This is some of the most authentic food we had during our time in Vietnam as well as some of the best overall. The presentation is beautiful and the journey through 15 courses was so interesting and engaging. Just look at the photos... they also do cocktail pairings. We LOVED this experience. Now, the staff...they were the service equivalent of the food. We were the ONLY people that night so we got a kind of "private chef" experience in their lovely space. They were as much a part of the experience of the evening as the food. So funny, engaging, warm, impeccably professional, but also relaxed. It felt like we were in their home but with an upscale twist. They explained every dish (it's origins, where the ingredients were sourced, what their interpretation was on the original dish, etc...). They answered all our questions and chatted with us about other curiosities we had too. We played flavor and ingredient guessing games. It was such a delightful evening. The two women hostesses were such an amazing pair. So different from each other and so complementary to one another as well. They were perfect together. They played off each other like the dishes themselves. The head hostess was a master at quietly directing everything once she was away from our table. The other hostess led the storytelling of each dish with style and genuine enthusiasm. Together, they were an amazing team. And again...so funny! They made us laugh so much with their antics. Like two sisters. And the bartender, TOP NOTCH. I mix drinks at home, and this guy knows what he's doing. Finally, the chef came out and presented the main courses. She is amazing. Her work speaks for itself, but she was also the power behind the power. She was the unseen force that created the evening. And her personality comes through: funny, bright, serious about her craft, extremely skilled, creative and innovative. She makes her own rice wine too and infuses it with different flavors. Each takes 4 years to make. She shared two different drinks with us as a gift. And it really was a gift. Delicious! The entire staff provided some of the best service I've had in my entire life. I want to be friends with them. I feel like we already are. They are such deeply genuinely great people. And the space is elegant, modern, and gorgously situated in a private verdant enclave in the rice patties. This place is the best of Vietnam yesterday and today.
Eccezionale!
Really loved the food here! It’s fine dining so the menu is pre determined by the famous chef. He actually does come to malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan to cook there as well. Highlight of the night was the extra dishes Chef Tru Lang whipped specially for us! We do enjoy the specially crafted saké too! Do get some bottles to go 🍶
It was the first day of their autumn menu when we visited and we ordered 1 long and 2 short menus to try with alcohol pairings and we felt that the whole experience was such a fun one. Loved the energy of the crew (both FOH and BOH) and special mention to Hiên, Vy and Chuyên for making the night a memorable one! The food was elevated but not pretentious- highlights for us were the spring rolls, duck and the mooncake! Would definitely recommend to slot this place in for those who travel for good food 👍🏼
“Mùa,” the Vietnamese word for “season,” is a fitting name for this restaurant, as it specialises in modern Vietnamese cuisine that uses seasonal, organic ingredients. If you’re seeking a unique culinary experience and a deeper understanding of Vietnamese cuisine, we highly recommend a visit to this establishment. They provide detailed explanations of their dishes, including their flavours, origins, and compositions. The dining experience included a tasting menu composing of starters, main courses, and desserts. They also offer recommendations for various alcoholic beverages that complement each part of the menu. Our Autumn menu comprised of ingredients and flavours familiar to us but presented in a novel way. The menu was overall very delicious but we did enjoy few meals in particular. Starting with their very fresh summer rolls filled with their home-grown produce. Their rendition of ‘Riêu Cua’ was absolutely stunning. Rich from the avocado and an extra umami flavour from the crab bisque. The main meal was delicious - a modern take on the traditional Vietnamese family dinner - we particularly loved the duck, which was beautifully cooked. After the meal we were served three different Vietnamese desserts, including a mini Trung Thu (Mid-Autumn Festival moon cake), which was non-traditionally filled with a mixture of dark bitter chocolate and sweet red bean. It's a dessert we still fondly reminisce about
We went to Mùa because we stayed at the Tra Que Mansion for a few days. Luckily we could order a la Carte because we didn’t want the whole tasting menu. I had the Duck with fried rice, which was very good, my son had the spaghetti which was good as well, my wife had the sea bass which was good in taste but not enough to be called a real meal to be honest. Local beer was nice as well as are the juices 👌🏻 we had our breakfast here as well and got the delicious pancakes with fruit and honey 😋 ice coffee was good as well 👌🏻
Merci encore !
a nice little unique restaurant that serves a modern and inspiring dishes from all local produces that have been harvested according to the current season... which means the menu will frequently change, adapting to the season it is a set menu type of experience locating this spot can be a tad tricky once you make it to the end of the tight road youll find the sign Mùa walk around to the back (head towards the right of the building), through the garden and around the accommodations... youll find this spot winded down to the left as you reach the end of the path be careful as the path might be a bit slippery (it was VERY slippery when we went)
Một viên ngọc ẩn mình ở Hội An, gần vườn rau hữu cơ Trà Quế.
I went to Mùa for my birthday dinner and I must say it is the best birthday treat I could ask for. Not only was it a total surprise but also the food and the location. The restaurant is located at the back garden, on a beautiful & quiet shrimp farm. It is an open space restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, the place also has a very trendy vibe. Now the food, super!!! Delicious and beautiful. The best part is that most (if not all) ingredients come from their neighbor farmers. You can taste the freshness in every bite. Hands down to chef Tru for his creative fusion blend between Vietnamese and Western cuisine, like Vietnamese paella with duck (OMG!). Tru and his staff are very friendly and attentive as well, they would explain to you what’s in the dish and where it comes from. I highly recommend Mùa and chef Tru if you wanna have a unique dining experience. They are reservation only so make sure to message them beforehands. Truly amazing place !
Really nice ambience. Food was delicious and very varied in flavour. Servers were lovely. They could definitely charge more - this tasting menu is a steal and worth every penny.
I honestly don’t know what was better: my 11-course menu or my 3-year-old son’s chicken pasta. Every course was thoughtfully composed, beautifully presented, and introduced with a clear explanation. The pacing was perfect, allowing us to fully enjoy each dish without feeling rushed. They offer an excellent drinks pairing, both with and without alcohol, which complements the menu perfectly. The setting itself is beautiful and adds to the overall experience. Dining alone with my 3-year-old, this turned out to be such a special and memorable experience for both of us.
Had an amazing time at Mua, each dish was unique, with some familiar flavours and some completely novel. The 15 course tasting menu was a truly great experience, made better by the thoughtful care of our waiter Hong. Also a good wine list with reasonable prices. Will be back!
It’s not really about fine dining, instead, it’s more about local cuisine and culture. We like that they source local ingredients plus having their own little farmings grown their own vegetables. Tasting menu is a must try experience. They even custom made our dishes since we requested gluten free dishes. All dishes were delicious, in particular, 1st , their crab and tomatoes soup! 2nd. the main dish - duck, which were made in 3 different ways, one mixing with the rice! 3rd, their desserts were particularly amazing too, refreshing. Friendly staff are well trained and welcoming. For us it’s great priced and to our budget, well worth the price and quality. Highly recommended. Definitely will come back next time.
Amazing food. Inventive and extremely tasty. All the dishes on the tasting menu were excellent. The setting is very tranquil and relaxing. Go hungry. There is a lot of food! The only negative was that the bar service was quite slow.
Absolute aanrader in Hoi An. Echt aangenaam verrast. Mooi aangelegd restaurant, gezellige sfeer, leuke meubels. Aanrader in ieder geval!
Faultless cooking and a wonderful front of house team, led by Uyen. We loved the tasting menu, and the focus on seasonal ingredients. Can’t recommend more highly, the team were so knowledgeable and friendly. We can’t wait to return one day.
This meal was one of the highlights of our trip, and one of the better meals we have had anywhere. Highly recommend. Beautiful food, beautiful venue, great service.
We came with our 4 year old son and had the most amazing time. The menu was impressive, it flowed well and presented Vietnamese cuisine in a unique way, honoring our local traditions/ingredients but still being able to be elevated enough and balanced to suit a non-local palate. They made a delicious chicken pasta with potato wedge fries (our favorite!), for my son who is normally a bit picky with his food but finished the entire bowl and also enjoyed trying the different dishes from the set menu with me. Every dish was freshly made and they are quite generous with the portions (come hungry!) but you don’t feel heavy or uncomfortable afterwards. The staff were kind, professional, attentive and easy going. The place is simple but tasteful and theres a small walk behind the restaurant out to the water that gives you a chance to look up at the stars and catch the moon if you’re lucky. What an experience! One of the best we’ve had after trying out so many fine dining places in Hoi An and Danang.
Modern Vietnamese food, done really well, without trying too hard or feeling pretentious. The menu is thoughtful and playful, with familiar Vietnamese flavors elevated in a way that actually makes sense. Everything we tried was balanced, beautifully plated, and genuinely delicious — not “pretty but forgettable,” but the kind of food you keep talking about after you leave. Fresh ingredients, smart seasoning, zero gimmicks. The space itself is calm, stylish, and slightly moody in the best way. It’s perfect if you want a break from the chaos of Hoi An Old Town while still eating somewhere special. Our waiter Son was attentive without hovering, and the staff clearly care about what they’re serving (which always shows). It’s absolutely worth your time (and your appetite). Ideal for a date night, a slow dinner, or anyone who appreciates Vietnamese cuisine with a modern edge and personality. I’ve been twice and definitely return. Support Artisanal experienced like this.
Phenomenal place. We love fine dining and this place is an absolutely bargain for what you get. We had the vegetarian menu and were delighted. I have some very specific allergies and they were willing to accommodate without issue.
MUA is a singular experience. From the thoughtful atmosphere down to the meticulously crafted 14 course menu, MUA and its expert staff delight patrons at every step of the way, offering the best of what Vietnam has to offer.
We didn't realize it was an extensive tasting menu. However, we were offered a smaller choice which turned out to be delicious. The service was excellent.
Food was really interesting and tasty, as was the drinks pairing. The staff were fun and friendly and we really enjoyed the whole experience
This is the place that reminds you how much intention and discipline matter in food AND how joyful it can be when that care is allowed to playyyy!!!! I dined here as a solo guest and WOW I was truly impressed! The cooking is balanced and SO confident!!! The flavours feel considered yet so expressive, moving gently across the palate - at times playful, at times restrained - but always in an astonishing symphony!!!!!!!! AH! And the care behind each plate?!!! You can feel the refinement and attention that only comes from people who take real pride in what they’re creating. For such a young team, the level of composure, maturity to the food, respect for the ingredients, and intention is TRULY IMPRESSIVE! The service reflects the kitchen beautifully. The staff are attentive and respectful of the dining experience. As a solo diner, I felt completely at ease, sooo welcomed, never rushed, never overlooked. The setting in the evening is calm and elegant, which allows the food to lead without distraction. Just perfect!! Extra points for the breakfast (I am a guest at Tra Que Mansion), which deserves equal mention! Lighter, fresh, and just as delicious - one of the reasons why I also retuned for the second time to Tra Que Mansion! Mua is doing something quietly remarkable!! The food moves, dances, and lingers with you! A true delight!
Great food and excellent service. Highlight of our stay in Hoi An.
Had a really great experience here. The food has European and Asian influences, and uses local ingredients respectfully. Overall, we had five courses with some amazing dishes. Would love to go back!
Good experience, great food, ok drinks, very nice atmosphere and crew that cares 👌
I personally like this place a lot — quiet and private, with a creative variety of courses on the menu. The experience feels well thought out. The portions are very generous, which may be a bit much for some diners, like me. Reservations are a must. If you visit Hoi An, you should definitely visit here!
Second visit here after our phenomenal experience in Summer. Fall/Winter tasting menu was sublime, fast tracking taste buds throughout all parts of Vietnam with a modern twist and appropriate fusion of other cuisines. Chef Tru Lang kindly presented the main dish with passion and enjoyed getting to know about his culinary journey that led him to the creation of MÙA. Last but not least the service staff, polite and attentive but with that touch of local charm that leaves a smile on your face. Thank you to Chef and the whole team, happy to see the restaurant thriving and looking forward to the next experience.
Dinner was the best one we had in Vietnam, especially with the stand out service from Son. He was so attentive, fun, and sweet. He made the meal for us!
Some great food, fusion style tasting menu. Highlights were the sauces, some amazing flavours, and high quality throughout. Course timing was good, and the best part of the evening was the serving staff, so keen and enthusiatic and knowledgable, they made the whole thing really work. The alcohol pairing was great too, vietnam sake and tonic and sake tasting great. Best serving staff for a long while, refreshing attitude!
Just like all the guests before us, the pictures looks really great. Very nice presentation, lighting and vibe on the pictures, but unfortunately the taste didn’t follow. The food was unbalanced and almost all dishes lacked salt. The crab dish was fridge cold in the middle and lukewarm sauce around it. Was the dish supposed to be cold or warm? We had the drinks paring, which was fine, but again when the food didn’t preform the paring fell below the mark. Unfortunately we also had hair in our food, and we were offered an apology. It felt like a restaurant who is really trying. Nice lighting, nice interior, nice presentation, acting like rehearsed presentation and so on. I think the restaurant could be really great it the taste followed. In the end the bill was 3,5 million, and we didn’t finish most of the dishes.
A Fabulous new experience! We have been to Hoi An 3 times and this 12 course set menu book (each course is very small). We are not big eaters so this was a perfect amount for us. Strongly recommend getting in a taxi to get here.
Really loved this restaurant and dining experience. A really cool concept of organic, locally grown produce made into a delicious tasting menu. The food was great, the cocktails too and the staff were really knowledgable and passionate, which was very infectious and really added to the experience. Our host Bu was great as were all the service staff. Highly recommend a visit.
This was our favourite meal in Vietnam. We were blown away by every course. A big thanks to the staff that gave detailed info about the dishes and the local ingredients, plus had us smiling and laughing the whole time.
Very good overall experience at this hidden gem. Friendly staff, delicious food, relaxing environment
Overall a very good restaurant. Maybe you would expect a tiny notch more flavourwise but unique nonetheless. The food was very elegant, the staff very helpful and the restaurant very comfortable (be aware of mosquitoes, it is in the middle of a rice field; spray is provided) The menu is plentiful in quantity. Definetly worth the visit.
Never in my life have I had such a superb thoughtful, exquisite tropical dining experience such as MUA. My partner and I dined here on a whim, after someone mentioned it on a tour the day before. It's off the beaten path, down a one way dirt road, almost on its own tropical island sanctuary. The whole three hour experience felt like a dream. We were unrushed, and we took walks around the palm tree lake between courses, watching fish jumping. We ate outside, surrounded by tropical flowers as the friendly staff told us stories, while taking us on a journey through tantalising Vietamese cuisine. The flavours were divine, with 80% of ingredients grown on site, but the whole experience in that setting was what made it special. While I love Vietnam, I found Hoi An too touristy, but will likely return again - if only to dine here.
Amazing 🤩 I’m a big foodie and this place made me so happy. I love a tasting menu and it was very affordable but most of all delicious!!! Love how they use not only local Vietnamese flavors and ingredients but also things specific to Hoi An as well with a quarterly rotating menu - aka fresh!! The staff was so lovely, sweet, energetic. The homemade kombuchas and cocktails were so yummy too! I ate outside for dinner and was worried about bugs, but with a fan blowing softly on us (or stronger if you want) and free bug spray is provided, I had ZERO problems. The space is beautiful if you choose to sit inside as well and the outside space is just so peaceful at night. It’s also an eco friendly restaurant as well :) Just a quick but gorgeous Grab ride away from town and you go through the rice paddies. 10/10 experience.
Vietnamese fine dining with true excellence in a magical island oasis. A hidden gem that was recommended by a fellow tourist on a day tour. My partner and I embarked on a beautifully delicious 3 hour culinary journey accompanied by superb storytelling of each course. Your tastebuds won't be disappointed as Mua offers the very best representations of local classics and then some. I also opted for the full course of accompanying alcoholic pairings which were perfectly matched. Big thank you to the sensational staff of Mua for delivering an unforgettable experience filled with wonder and more!
Set menu that rotates with the season. Absolutely delightful staff that seem to love their job. A fantastic way to experience the local cuisine
This is a truly special restaurant. The meal we had here was one of the highlights of our time in Hoi An and one of the best we’ve ever had. We had a 15 course tasting menu which showcased a huge range of Vietnamese specialties. The staff were excellent and very informative about the origin of each dish. There is a great wine list and selection of cocktails. It is also vegetarian friendly and incredibly good value. This is a must-try when visiting Hoi An.
We booked not knowing it was a 7 course set menu, however, we really enjoyed the experience. The waiters carefully explained the process and the foods we were going to be eating along with any dietary restrictions. The foods were mostly good. Some much more tastier than others. Everything seemed to be local produce which was good to hear and they try to be as sustainable as possible. The restaurant was situated behind some accommodation and had a really nice wood and low lighting vibe which was really appreciated along with a cute restaurant dog. Overall it was a good fine dining experience and I would recommend.
Love it every time, amazing like always, would like to come often with families and friends, recommend to all the food lovers, you gonna love it too!
Quite simply the best meal I have had in Vietnam. We made a spontaneous booking and were so happy we did - although nervous about a 14 course tasting menu. And it was simply superb. Other photos do it justice. Uncrowded, inside and outside tables overlooking beautiful gardens, each element of the meal explained well by staff, and simply delicious combinations of traditional Vietnamese flavours with high end taste and presentation. We chose to have the alcohol pairing which was great and let us experience a range of spirits, sake, wine and liqueurs. Head chef Tru spoke to every table during the evening and was delightful and informative. Unmissable Hoi An dining experience next to the Tra Que Vegetable gardens. We did make it through the 14 selections too! And amazing value for money by Western standards.
Amazing food and really good sake. The staff was very friendly. Every dish there was special. Natural and organic ingredients. Everything was tasty without being bombarded with fish sauce. We had super amazing time there.
What an incredible dining experience. You can taste the passion they have for their ingredients in every bite. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive & very friendly & made our anniversary meal an evening to cherish. Vietnam had always had incredible food but MUA took this to a whole other level. If you visit Hoi An without visiting MUA, you are missing a real gem.
First of all, this restaurant has geckos on the walls, it’s ok as I knew this place is inside a farmland area, just didn’t expect the insects and geckos were that much, no air conditioning also, if you are afraid of insects/geckos or can’t stand to have dinner with no AC you have to consider before booking. Saying this just for those who is planning to go, and this didn’t affect our dining experience at all :) We LOVE the dishes here! They use the fresh ingredients from the farms and everything is very delicious, we really enjoyed the food here and their service was very attentive and friendly. Don’t miss out MUA if you want to have some real good Vietnamese cuisine in Hoian. Their non alcohol pairing is amazing! I love it also.
Hidden gem in Hoi An - chill and naturally immersed kind of vibe, staff is super friendly and attentive, of cus food is also perfect. Was nearly gonna cancel the reservation due to plan change but i’m grateful that i made it here at the end cus i’m gonna come back again for sure! Thanks for the romantic night to be remembered ;)
An all around excellent experience. A diverse and interesting tasting menu in a great environments and well Priced. Looking forward to coming back.
Absolutely stunning! Food, service impeccable! So attentive, knowledgeable and above and beyond! We had the most beautiful experience and I can't rate highly enough! A must experience in Hoi An
: "The experience at MUA ] was truly exceptional! From the warm and inviting ambiance to the attentive service by Manager Uyen everything was perfect. The menu offers a creative selection of dishes, each beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It’s clear the team puts their heart into every detail. This is definitely a must-visit spot,
Vietnamese French Fusion restaurant with 10+ courses. ~USD 40 only, good service and vibe Reminder, need to book grab or hotel car to go in this remote area
Amazing location for delicious degustation in Hoi An. The food was carefully thought out and made with seasonal local ingredients. 6th star if I could for accommodating our special day. This place is top notch.
We love the sake pairing and the food. Atmosphere is great. People are friendly!
MÙA Restaurant in Hoi An is an absolute gem. From the moment you step in, the serene ambiance, surrounded by lush greenery and elegant design, sets the tone for a special dining experience. The tasting menu was a journey through modern Vietnamese cuisine, with each dish thoughtfully crafted using fresh, local ingredients. Every bite was a perfect balance of flavor, creativity, and presentation. Chef Tru is an absolute master chef, seamlessly blending traditional Vietnamese flavors with innovative techniques. His passion for food is evident in every dish, making the meal not just delicious but truly memorable. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive, adding to the overall exceptional experience. It’s clear that sustainability is a priority here, from their ingredient sourcing to eco-friendly practices. If you're looking for a unique and unforgettable meal in Hoi An, MÙA is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
They change the menu every season and source their ingredients from the area. Very fresh food and we love every dish. Great service from the staff as well.
Absolutely loved Mua. Beautiful location outside of town, fantastic and interesting modern take on Vietnamese food, and super friendly service.
Really tasty and well thought out 14-course tasting menu, using seasonal ingredients. Nice and generous drinks pairing, including super interesting local sake and well mixed cocktails. Staff were all extremely nice and took the trouble to explain each dish in detail. Would definitely go back.
Best restaurant in town by far! We have been to quite a few fine dining places in Saigon but nothing beats this fantastic experience. The dishes are creative and the craftsmanship of the chef is amazing. The place is beautiful and the service was excellent. You can only choose between a bigger and a smaller menu. We took the big menu and did not regret it. The 14 different dishes are not severed separately, but 3-4 at a time. We really liked that. The price per menu is 900k which is very cheap if you consider the quality. Don't think about going there, do it! Perfect for a date night but we had a great time with our three year old kid as well. Fine dining at a bargain. Enjoy!!!
We enjoyed every aspect of the restaurant. The food was interesting and delicious. We particularly appreciated Bu, our friendly and charming waiter describing each dish and the chef's ideas behind creating g them. Our meal was complemented by a nice bottle of shiraz. We highly recommend this restaurant and its peaceful setting.
We just celebrated our wedding anniversary at MUA. Wow! What an experience. Every course was delicious, and the drink matching was spot on. The staff presented the food with care, and were attentive but not pushy. We would thoroughly recommend MUA for a celebration dinner, or just to experience Vietnamese food at the next level.
This is a must in Hoi An - the setting is stunning. A little off the beaten track - a hidden gem 💎
My family had an incredible experience at MUA. The food was absolutely incredible so many flavours that were so well thought out and went so well together. The drinks were also fantastic. The servers and the chef were so kind and knowledgeable!
What a gem. Sophisticated local flavor paired with excellent service has made this meal the highlight of our trip. They only have two sets to choose from, normal and vegetarian. We opted for the normal one. Everything that was served was absolutely stunning. We were especially impressed by the four starters because they were very interesting and different than what we were used to in the best way. Please come and try their menu - it was the kind of experience we look for everywhere we traveled. We sat at the outside table first and they provided spray for mosquitoes which was very nice. It started to rain so we had to move indoor. The staff was very agile about it and they moved everything for us very very quickly. Throughout the meal, they were so helpful and explained the dishes to us. This is definitely not the cheap local eat you’d find by the side of the street but it is still very authentic and cultured. I definitely recommend if you have the budget.
Cozy restaurant with less than 30 seats. Very good service, the staff really knew their menu. Awesome tasting experience from the softness of the puffed bread to the amazing flavorful and tender duck, wow. I think that was the best duck I ever had. The pairing with alcoholic beverage options was also a nice addition to the experience. I would have gone 2 days during my trip, but it was sold out since a while. At least I was able to go once
The expectation was higher than the actual dinner. The first course was intriguing and interesting, but all the dishes tasted the same. No wow effect. I guess with over 40 years of experience in hospitality, I must say, we were disappointed. This kind of new dining experience is great when all the factors fit together, and sadly this did not match. I guess the idea behind the concept (local ingredients, modern fine dining preparation) is not bad, however the implementation does need some improvement. Pictures look great and the dishes presented should be the same. People always judge the toilets/restroom to the restaurant experience and this area also needs improvement. The price - performance ratio is off.
We had a truly lovely dining experience at Mua. The combination of Vietnamese inspired food, unexpected ingredient combinations and course setup delivered a unique, honest and well executed tasting menu. The service from the staff, the narrative of the place and the food, and the honest and authentic atmosphere made it a remarkable and memorable memory. The drinks pairing is highly recommended. Oh, and do yourself a favour a d go for the long course and avoid missing on some lovely courses. Thank you!
We were lucky to last-minute get a table here as we were looking forward to another kind of culinary experience during our travels in Vietnam. We came across MÙA and we had a great evening, the food was delicious and staff were super sweet. The thought of a 14-course menu seemed a bit much at first but it was the perfect amount for us. The dishes were suprising and a modern take on vietnamese classic ingredients. We paired it with the drinks menu in which we especially liked they homemade Sake.
Really enjoyed the tasting menu at Mua. Every dish was a taste explosion and the meal was super balanced. Really great value for money!! We also did the drinks pairing which was nice but could also have just ordered the delicious local sake. Restaurant itself was not very cosy (lighting too bright and tables not so organized). However, overall highly recommend!!!
Restaurant is located by a garden and it’s a very lovely place to dine at. Weather is cool enough in the evening to sit outside. Service was amazing. Miss Uyen who served us was great and it was nice to listen to her explain the work that went into each dish. 900,000VND for the 14 course dinner was a very good value considering all the effort that went into the sourcing and preparation of the dinner. Would be back again the next time we are in Hoi An.
What an amazing experience! We visited on our anniversary, and started out with a glass on cremant. The glass was incredible, a high quality wine. We were blown away by the food, especially the appetizers. The restaurant had a pleasant, relaxed and professional atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed. The personnel were great at guiding us through the menu, explaining the food, background and recommended order in which to eat the dishes. After our evening, they booked us a taxi back to our hotel. A must visit when in Hoi An!
Stunning fine dining experience in Vietnam. This was easily one of our favorite meals along the street food stalls in bustling cities like Hanoi. But this experience is different in the flavors, the combinations, and how it’s prepared with the seasons. Some of our favorites included the veal, the pumpkin, and duck. The full vegetarian tasting menu was an incredibly thoughtfully designed comparison to the omnivore that I was able to have, so that my wife could also partake in the night. That was a significant reason why we chose to dine here. If we ever to come back to Vietnam, we would absolutely come here once more.
Stunning food and cozy atmosphere, every dish is perfect. wine pairing is amazing, the pineapple and chili sake is the MVP🥹 definitely worth coming back for another seasonal menu!
5 star experience!! Amazing food made with locally sourced seasonal ingredients, which we chose to have paired with the restaurants’ own Sake and innovative cocktails. I gave them advance notice of my pescatarian diet and they changed the couple dishes that contained meat on the tasting menu for me. Attentive and friendly service. Deserves to get on fine dining guides!
Hidden gem in Hoi An. Service was extremely sweet and friendly and the food was delicious- we loved the duck dish the most! The tasting menu is 1 Mil Dong pp with beverage pairing +600k- very reasonable and worth it!
An unexpected delight in this part of Hoi An. The menu was well concerted, everything is a twist of traditional Vietnamese dish, and they are well delivered. We would also like to thank the young passionate Vietnamese guy who hosted us, making the dinner more enjoyable.
We had an amazing time in Mua. The quiet secluded location inside Tra Que farm lets you wind down from the crowded hoi an old town streets. The full course we took was inspiring, a fusion of vietnamese food with cuisines familiar and unfamiliar to our Singaporean palate harmoniously blended together in very surprising ways(e.g. the duck egg and mugwort combo, or pairing hibiscus with smoked duck). The staff were very attentive to our queries about how the food was made, and we were pleasantly shocked to discover from Chef Tru that the menu adjusts ingredients available that day or week to showcase what's in season, honestly masterful. Would come again.
Very good restaurant, worth to go there. Local products, the crab dish was spectacular! Great manager of the restaurant, she was explaining everything, very kind. The only recommendation for the crew is to do training for the rest of the crew for better client service.
WOW! Second time here, first visited last August for my friends birthday and this time I brought my partner and his extended family. Everyone loved it here! Our waiter (whose name I regret not taking) was fantastic, amazing energy and super knowledgeable. We had such a great experience. If you can visit, do it!
Fantastic food and super friendly staff! Must try their Sake ! Especially the passionfruit + cubeb pepper! Won a gold award in Singapore. And cheaper than Singapore! My friend was not feeling well, and the staff offered a pot of ginger tea! Excellent service! ❤️
Tra Que vege is defo fresh and yummy. Other than that, I feel it lacks some kinda harmony within these creation. The restaurant is abit far from Hoi An town center; However if you fancy something new and completely different from the local food, you may wanna try it here.
This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've had in Vietnam so far. The restaurant is hidden down a rural street outside of downtown Hoi An. It's a little difficult to find but once you're there, you'll see this beautifully designed space facing a little pond. We were greeted by a wonderful server who explained everything to us, from every dish on the menu, to all the drinks they had available, including their own sake (get the tasting flight!). The food was so elegant and elevated. I loved their interpretation of classical Vietnamese Cuisine, especially their snail tofu skin crisp, but all the dishes were incredible. If you're ever in Đà Nẵng, make sure to come by and experience MÙA yourself!
Marvellous diner. We were on a family trip and we all enjoyed the food: having only one menu is perfect to discover the several taste of Vietnamese food. Their team is super kind and bring a great attention at each moment of the dinner.
Mama is in the kitchen and she is making magic, everything was delicious. Service was excellent. Had the 14 course tasting menu to die for. Duck was spectacular
One of the most beautiful meals we’ve had in a long time! Definitely recommend visiting if you’re in Hoi An and looking for a special meal. The food is incredible, with beautiful service and surroundings. Would definitely recommend!
Highly recommended if you are in Hoi An. Go for the full menu and definitely order their cocktails and special sake.
Must go if you’re staying in Hoi an!! I cannot describe how wonderful this place is. From the friendliest staff, great cocktails and wine selection, all the way to the food. We wanted to come by for dinner but they warned us about a firefly attack. We were still very much interested in the restaurant and we decided to go. We got a warm welcome and opted for the long menu which costs 900.000. The dishes were great, simple yet elevated. Our favorite part was when the „mom“ of the kitchen came out and presented the dish with others. I think the restaurant is doing a great job!
This is a tasting menu with the fine dishes made from the local ingredients of hoi an. The dining experience is not a fine dining experience but of a farm to table concept hence do expect the food presentation to be less refined. However the server tries her best to compensate by her enthusiasm and the experience is indeed quite pleasant. Personally I love their locally made sake with is a collaboration with heiwa that's pretty interesting. Price wise it is quite reasonable and definitely worth a try.
The best experience since a while for us. Amazing food, incredible drinks - like heaven. But what made our evening (the last one in 2023) was the amazing team at MUA. We have felt so welcomed and comfortable. Like being at home but with way better food ;) Not only have we already recommended it to all our friends travelling to vietnam in the next months- but we know we will need to come back to meet everyone from MUA and try their food and drinks again.
Everything was perfect here. The food was outstanding, the service was impeccible, and the location was great. Located in the vegetable fields of Hoi An, it sets the atmosphere for a true ecological farm to table meal. The bit that stood out to me the most was that despite being a high-end tasting menu, we were still able to simply get a plate pf spaghetti for our daughter. It's that attention to meeting the needs of the patrons that really sets Mua apart (though I will say I've seen this much more in Vietnam than many other countries) The menu changes frequently based on the season, so likely it will be different by the time you visit, but I have no doubt each dish would be delicious and immaculate. I also recommend trying the sake that they produce.
The tasting menu offered an exquisite culinary journey, showcasing a symphony of flavors and textures. Among the standout dishes was the soft and juicy duck, perfectly cooked to tender perfection. Its succulent meat melted in the mouth, delivering a burst of rich, savory goodness with each bite. Paired with complementary accompaniments, it elevated the dining experience to new heights, leaving a lasting impression of culinary excellence. Overall, the tasting menu was a delight for the senses. Mua is a must visit restaurant to experience vietnamese cousine.
What an evening! A culinary experience in a lovely atmosphere with kind service. I am going to return to this magic place where there's love behind the food they serve and you can really feel it. It should get a Michelin star.
I loved it, yet I wouldnt say it was the flawless experience Food was good, for such price range. I love how they incorporate local ingredients into the dishes, and how they represent Vietnamese traditional cuisines. But not a WOW for my winter 23 menu The staffs are super nice to me, which I adored. But they were quite noisy when they’re doing nothing. They chatted with each other loudly too The music is a huge ick. I did not in any way expect them to play modern V-pop if they’re serving these classy contemporary dishes. Please please reconsider your music choices 😓
absolutely amazing tasting menu, especially loved the appetiser section. it was such an elegant way of being introduced to vietnam and especially hoi an’s palette! the staff were also so lovely. a great addition to any visit to hoi an ♥️
Having been in Vietnam for 3 weeks, Mua was the best Vietnamese culinary experience we’ve had! A unique menu for all, based on seasonal and sustainable ingredients, always revisiting a traditional Vietnamese dish! If you are in Hoi An, this is a must go! It’s location is quite remote, so you need to know about it to discover it, it’s worth the detour! (Only 10 min from old town by taxi)
Fantastic degustation meal… every dish/course was exquisitely prepared and sublime. The chef-owner is American-Vietnamese Chinese and we had a great conversation… appreciate him making the effort to converse with us. The only downside is we went on a very hot evening and there’s no a/c … would help if they can install more fans.
For the price the culinary experience and beautiful location are worth it. We paid about US$80 for 2 people with no alcohol drinks/ this would be about x3 in major international cities so very good value. Food was really well presented , unique and inspired by Vietnamese ingredients. Stand out for me was the grilled duck with sauces and Mekong delta award winning rice. I felt the place lacked some razzmatazz ,the interior and food were nice but didn’t electrify my taste buds nor transform me to another world like you might have expected from fine dining tasting restaurant. Still all in all very good and worth visiting
Excellent restaurant, although a bit expensive for the region. But absolutely worth it. Products are fresh, dishes are creative and a good mix of flavours. We had a menu around duck and was really good. The place is also very nice, very quiet and staff is as usual very friendly.
This place is a MUST for anyone that appreciates TRUE FARM TO TABLE, CREATIVE, DELICIOUS food, BEAUTIFUL TRANQUIL ATMOSPHERE & EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE.. We were so happy with the dinner and the menu the chef created for us from appetizers, main dishes and desserts.. My only disappointment is I did not discover it sooner so I could go a couple times…
We came for late lunch but the place was empty and didnt look ready. I guess it is not season. I've read so many positive reviews so got quite disappointed upon arrival. The scenery and view are not wow either. Not the kind of experiences I would expect for. We decided not to stay for lunch and left.
The most AMAZING dinner - cannot recommend enough. Friendliest staff who really care about the delicious and fresh dishes they make with all local ingredients. Truly made with love
Probably the only restaurant with an omakase tasting menu in Hoi An. We wanted a special night to celebrate my birthday and boy was it an adventure! Situated off the main road, and most cars wouldn’t drive into the too narrow roads, and we walked for about 300m amongst the farms. After which we reached an oasis and paradise. The restaurant had a beautiful space overlooking the water. It was calm and quiet. We sat outside. Highly recommended. The ingredients were fresh and was from the nearby farms, and the chef cooked it well. Most flavor profiles were new to us and found it interesting. Lovely list of organic wines by the glass to match with the meal. Truly a delight. The servers were amazing.
Excellent place for a chill and relaxed night out. We had the tasting menu for Christmas (they have long and short menu) and it's 600K VND for short menu with 7-8 courses. Everything was freshly prepared and served with pride. Absolutely love the smoked trout on melon, and the fresh clam with garlic. They also have special seasonal sake in partnership with their sister restaurant. Highly recommend the hot organic jasmine tea as well. This place accepts card without extra charge. Take a walk around the pond after your meal.
Took my family here for dinner and everyone very enjoy this experience! I love the atmosphere and the layout of the restaurant-> will definitely come back to enjoy a sunset!!! About the food: starters is very delicious and interesting concept of all the local ingredients ❤️ Main courses and dessert are not very impressive to me (but could impressive to others) The price is super reasonable for a 10 courses tasting menu only 900k ($40) Highly highly recommend!!
It was a lovely and interesting experience to dine at MUA. Ingredients were fresh, and there were combinations of flavours that were just delectable. In terms of cost, it is on the higher side as compared to other food options at Hoi An. Notwithstanding, still worth a visit and would recommend to my friends. Thank you for surprising my boyfriend with a cake for his birthday as well!
Lovely restaurant and unique modern Vietnamese food! We came to visit for my husband’s birthday on a recent trip and had a memorable experience. Probably the only more fancy restaurant in Hoi An area. I made the reservation via email, and got a confirmation several days later. They only serve a set menu, and there’s not much variations you can get. Some of the most memorable dishes were the fresh rolls with greens, grilled young corn with black garlic and goat cheese, crab and tomato with soft scrambled duck egg, shrimp and squid hoanh thanh, grilled duck and claypot rice. All were very tasty! I also really like the hibiscus drink we got. Price was definitely on the high side for Hoi An at 900,000VND/person but well worth the experience. Most of the people we saw while we were there were tourists and foreigners. The location is quite secluded, with the road leading in really more like a walking path wide enough for one car. It started raining and we had trouble getting a grab, so the waitress helped us get a local taxi and made sure we could get back to our hotel safely! I will definitely be back again if I visit Hoi An.
Our table had the vegetarian sample menu and meat menu. There were some dishes that stood out (veggie scallion pancake, veggie baked pumpkin) but most were average / disappointing. The service could have been better. They forgot to bring my water, and got some of our drink orders wrong.
Everything was excellent. There are 2 menus: 600k/pack/short menu and 900k/pack/full menu. If you come here for dinner, you can book the slot around 5-5.30 to have a sunset dinner. After 6pm, it’s totally dark, but still cozy and romantic. I would recommend the restaurant to pay more attention on the music they play, it doesn’t match with the vibe at all.
Wonderful cuisine experience. We were happy and surprised with the way the chef use local herd, ingredients to create such wonderful dishes. Very friendly staff and chef was so nice to come and check with us about the meal. Will definitely come back for more.
This is a very special restaurant! We came during a period that they served “surprise menu”… we didn’t know what kind of the food is coming :) we had 3 appetizers, 2 main courses and 2 desserts, all was prepared with local ingredients. Taste really interesting! We also had a good chit chat with the owner, a Vietnamese-American young chef, who want to develop and promote Vietnamese cuisines in a special way. Highly recommended to try this very nice restaurant!
This is one of the best dining experiences in Hoi An. As a "local," this is where we go for special occasions like holidays, birthdays, and in this case, a going away party. Chef Tru takes requests, but part of the fun of coming here, is not knowing what will be served. I've had vegan meals, seafood meals, duck, combos, but it is all thoughtful, creative, and lovingly sourced. It is a great indoor/outdoor design, upscale, but not pretentious, and I love Tru's explanation of the dishes. On this particular visit, I had a freak allergic reaction to something, and Tru went above and beyond as the chef and owner, and ran out to find me Benadryl. What a place, what a guy. This is a must visit for your next time in Hoi An.
Mua Restaurant is a gem that deserves to be known and tried by everyone coming to Hoi An! Eating there is a whole experience... First the scenery is wonderful, with tables along a pond and the river where you can catch the sunset in the afternoon. The food is truly delicious, totally homemade with fresh ingredients from local producers. Everything is well-balanced thanks to the chef Tru, who is an experienced and talented cook. I went there a few times now and was so happy every time, Mua truly is on another level! I 100% recommend the place, it became my favorite restaurant here... Thank you!
This is the best restaurant in Hoi An. It was one of the most pleasant and exquisite experiences my husband and I had in Vietnam. Chef Tru came to our table and explained in detail all of his savory and delectable dishes. He uses fresh ingredients from the farm to the table. We love the unexpected well balanced fusion of flavors in very creative palatable ways. The ambiance is very intimate and personal and his prices are surprisingly reasonable. Totally worth it!!
Excellent food with seasonal ingredients. - Good location in the herb village with river view, quiet and relaxing - The restaurant has both normal and vegan set menu that changes due to season. Such a creative cooking way of the Chef with fusion style. The price is about USD 18- 20/set menu depending on season. Highly recommend 👌
