Papa Shark - Un coup de cœur à An Bang ! Papa Shark est sans aucun doute notre restaurant de plage préféré à Hoi An ! La différence est dans les détails : le fait qu'ils fassent leur propre pain et qu'ils marinent leur viande rend leurs Banh Mi incroyablement savoureux, bien au-delà de tout ce que j'ai pu goûter ailleurs. En tant que Française, j'apprécie une bonne baguette, mais j'ai un faible pour leur pain brioché et moelleux, parfait pour les sandwichs. L'atmosphère est aussi un vrai plus. Manger sous une hutte en feuilles de palmier, en regardant les vagues de la mer est un moment de pur bonheur et de tranquillité. Si vpus cherchez un Banh Mi délicieux dans un cadre paradisiaque, Papa Shark est l'adresse qu'il vous faut.
Quel plaisir de déjeuner ici. Des plats délicieux, un cadre agréable sur la plage. Bref exactement ce que nous cherchions. Chaudement recommandé.
On a pas eu de chance, y’avait un groupe au restau d’à côté qui faisait un karaoke viet, c’est rigolo mais ça casse les oreilles

Siamo arrivati per fare mezza giornata di mare, lettini e ombrellone gratuiti con acquisto di una bevanda. Mezza giornata da soli!!!!!! Molto rilassante, c'è anche la doccia e se si vuole si può mangiare. Molto bello. Mare....va bhe pessimo, sporco. Spiaggia sabbiosa, carina.
Superbe endroit, très calme, au moins en semaine, les pieds dans l'eau. On peut profiter des transats, gratuitement contre consommation. Accueil assuré par T, un hôte très bienveillant. Un plateau de fruits de mer à essayer. Très bonne adresse, tellement plus accueillante qu'An Bang.
Pour vivre au Vietnam à Hanoï on reconnaît les vraies pépites et celle-là en est une. Cuisine excellente, un verre de vin ÉNORME pour 4€, un lieu vraiment sympa, personnel adorable. Juste le temps d’attente est un peu long mais prenez votre mal en patience, ça vaut le coup.

Un coin tranquille où se baigner car que des vietnamiens sur place donc pas harcelé par les vendeurs et pas trop de monde.

Excellent plat de fruits de mer! La ceviche était excellente. Le tout avec une magnifique vue sur la mer et un excellent service. Le restaurant est plus loin de la zone touristique donc l’environnement est vraiment calme 😊

It is a really amazing beachfront restaurant in the sea of mediocre food on the beach. It looks not different from other beach restaurants but wait until you try their food. I tried their vegetarian banh mi, pineapple smoothie, and salt coffee - all were great. The service was excellent too. The food took a while to arrive, but I was not in a rush. They also take card payments.
This restaurant was associated with my hostel/not many other options nearby so I would come here everyday. The pizza was meh, the rice dish was had stale rice; but on my last day I ordered a banh mi that took at least 1.5-2 hours to come out. At first I didn’t mind because I was just enjoying the beach, but when I brought it up to the server it took an additional 45 minutes. I was about to leave when the owner saw me and ran back to the kitchen magically reappeared with the sandwich. It was probably the best thing they have to offer foodwise, but the owner overextends herself and it leads to subpar service. I get that she works very hard and respect the hustle. Drinks here were good though. Unfortunately a lot of places in Vietnam flood google reviews with other vietnamese people writing fake reviews. You can easily check by names and amount of reviews they have left.
Wee unassuming place we found on a beach walk... lovely Vi took good care of us and the food was excellent 👌 We had ceviche , Avocado 🥑 toast and Chicken teriyaki...very nice indeed! Now I had to order a second creamy coconut 🥥 🌴...well done aye! Thank you again Vi for your attentive nature..we appreciated it 🇻🇳🏴🇺🇾

We came here for lunch on the first day of the New Year. My husband ordered a seafood pizza, guacomole toast, ceviche, and crispy calamari. The food was truly delicious, the prices were reasonable, and although it was quite lively on the first day of the year, they even provided cushioned loungers for free so guests could sunbathe after eating. We had a wonderful day here—swimming in the sea, sunbathing, and enjoying great food! Thank you very much!
This is the quietest beach in Hoi An (Ha My beach) The food and drinks at the restaurant are delicious and reasonably priced, not as expensive as the restaurants at the nearby beaches. Their menu is very diverse; besides the Western dishes, you can also enjoy Vietnamese food here. It’s wonderful, and the staff are friendly. - Ceviche is the best we have ever eaten. - We had a wonderful year-end party here - I will definitely come back next time. Thank you!!
Didn’t hit the mark unfortunately. We ordered a beer, soft drink and smoothies. The beer arrived within 5 mins, the soft drink within 20 mins and the smoothies within 30 mins. The food took ages to arrive, and was mediocre. The staff were incredibly aloof and slow moving. They apologised for being ‘busy’ however there was our table (4) and a table of two so not sure how they can consider this busy? Overall disappointing. We had a banh mi (just OK) Fried rice (veg) crunchy and didn’t taste fresh Pizza (margh) not bad

Papa Shark is located in one of the most private and beautiful beaches I’ve seen in Vietnam. I came here several times and the kitchen never disappoints. All the ingredients are super fresh and the chef prepares everything at the moment, he even bakes the ban mi bread! My rec: get the pork ban mi, the meat is so delicious!!

Also aufgrund des Essens und der Herzlichkeit würde ich glatt 10 Sterne 🌟 geben. Ich war bereits mehrmals in Italien und ihr könnt es glauben oder nicht,die Bruscetta die ich hier probiert habe, kommt zu 90% an eine italienische ran und kann ich zu 100% weiter empfehlen. Da ich im vietnamesischen Hochsommer hier war,war mittags natürlich kaum was los(was sehr schade ist)und es war einfach zu heiß um etwas deftiges zu probieren. Das Bier kommt Eiskalt und auf Wunsch auch mit einem Glas voll Eis. Obwohl ich auf das Ambiente ^nur^4 Sterne gegeben habe(ich gebe ehrliche Bewertungen ab) hat die Papa Shark natürlich trotzdem 5 in der gesamten Bewertung mehr als verdient. In Vietnam geben Sie einfach nicht so viel auf das aussehen, es muss funktionale Merkmale haben sowie schmecken.....das habe ich nach 6 Monaten gecheckt 😁. In diesem Sinne, hoffe ich ihr testet meine Bewertung und ich lag nicht falsch(Menschen und Geschmäcker sind ja bekanntlich verschieden) Genießt euren Urlaub, ihr habt es verdient ❤✌

I’ve never had a better salt coffee in my life. Ty made it with love. Omelette was fire. Views, eggs and salt what more would you want. Leigh doesn’t work there anymore but he’s so kind and helpful and makes everyone feel welcome. If your in Hoi an make sure to visit!
Had the best ceviche yesterday. I’ve had food a few times at Papa Shark now and each time has been brilliant, I would highly recommend to anyone!

While strolling along the beach, we stumbled upon a seemingly unremarkable spot with simple tables and chairs. Upon reviewing the menu, we discovered that they offered the freshest seafood straight from their basins. I selected a lobster, which was prepared exquisitely—it was absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly courteous, and I found myself returning several times. On subsequent visits, I tried the crab, which boasted tender and exquisite meat. Each time, I indulged in their delectable mango smoothie. One memorable instance was when we ran out of cash; they graciously provided us with a fresh coconut to enjoy later. The service is genuinely heartwarming, with flexible payment options including card and cash. The atmosphere is relaxed, resembling more of a beach café where one can swim, dine, and enjoy a beer. The area is often bustling with people, so if you’re seeking a secluded spot, this might not be the place. However, the cuisine is outstanding, and I highly recommend it!

We made a special trip to come here, 7km out of An Bang beach to find some yummy pizza. The pictures were not quite accurate. We ordered the teriyaki chicken (tbh probably not the strongest order), and it tasted like feet. Straight out of the freezer cardboard. If you douse it in chilli oil or tobacco you might bring it from a 3/10 to a 4/10. As always service was great, not here to reprimand the team. Will not be back. Don’t be fooled by my photography skills, pizza is not as pictured 🤪

Indigo the Canadian waitress made this the most pleasant of experiences..such a happy go lucky lady..she'll go far..pizza was nicely done, not too overflavoured..all in all a nice place to chill..Great view, right on the beach.

바닷가 분위기가 너무 좋아요. 위생은 포기하셔야 합니다. 하...주방은 절대 안보는거 권고합니다. 음식맛은 그냥 소소하고 나오는데 오래걸림 닭꼬지 메뉴는 총 한시간 반걸림 ㅡㅡ 직원 잔돈 꾸겨서 작게 줌. 그냥 서양인들처럼 파라솔에 맥주 몇병 먹는건 추천함
We have visited Papa Shark for years and are utterly dissapointed with our last visit. Took 30 minutes to get a drink - after asking for the menue several times. A very agressive Young man shouted at us when we asked what the order took so Long. ”We have a hostel and a LOT to do” We both speak fluent Vietnamese and overheard his rude comments when we asked why we Did not get anything Whitley they all were running does the beach with service. That Guy should not be in the hospitality business rude and arrogant. Sad the place has been taken over with persons like that

Honestly the best spring rolls i've ever had but the absolute worst salt coffee i'd ever had. I'd originally ordered an Egg coffee but later they informed me that they didn't have eggs to make it so i changed to a salt coffee. It was so bitter and actually tasted like salt which it's not supposed to do. Would not recommend the coffee tbh.

A perfect spot, far from tourists, almost alone of the beach. Nice cocktails, ice-cream and coffee. You can have the sun beds for free and the staff is amazing 🏝️

Overall Papa Shark is a 4.9: Good, reasonably priced food, cheap drinks, and a gorgeous beach. Located just north of A Bang beach, Papa Shark is sandwiched between several seafood restaurants on a fairly secluded beach. Papa Shark is definitely the most modern and cleanest of the restaurants and offers pizza and other western fare. In addition to the main restaurant, there are a few covered tables on the sand and also lounge chairs and umbrellas to enjoy at the beach. The service is very good and they speak English. The other restaurants also share the same beach, so make sure you are in Papa Shark’s area or you will be expected to order off another menu. There is also a small shower and a clean bathroom available. If you want to enjoy a great day at the beach and away from the crowds, Papa Shark is worth a visit.
The food was outstanding, we spontaneously went over and were really flashed. We had crispy calamari, signature Hoi An Fried Spring Roll, Papa Sharks Hearty Beef Burger and a Pizza Hawai - it was incredible, you can't say what was better, every meal was fantastic - fresh, authentic and really delicious. We were warmly welcomed and served by the family, we felt very comfortable - a great location and a recommendation - we will definitely come again!!

안방비치 옆 하미비치에 있어서 접근성은 좀 떨어지지만 굉장히 한가롭고 여유로운 곳이에요~~ 바다를 보면서 맥주 한잔, 피자.. 조용히 쉬면서 바다를 즐길 수 있는 곳~~

Top restaurant recht aan het strand! Eten is allemaal versbereid en heerlijk. Super vriendelijke mensen die je bezoek nog wat beter proberen te maken. Tevens verhuren ze de beste strandbedden van deze plek, ze liggen heerlijk!
Just stopped in for an iced coffee out of the midday sun. Very friendly laid back place and owner has excellent English. Meals looked reasonably priced and although we had already eaten, we will be back!!
Not right on the beach but right by it and it's a nice quiet spot. Doesn't appear much at first but the food was amazing and one of the tastiest pastas we've had in Vietnam

Wow, all the superlatives!!! The food here is beautiful and the staff are so lovely. Great beach location where you can dine out the front. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and are so gutted we found this little gem on the final day we are in Hoi An. The pictures speak for themselves, but the Bolognese Pasta tasted fresh and authentic 🥰 thank you for an amazing meal and service!
I went to stay at Le Rivage Villa and had meal at the Papa Shark restaurant. My relatives come back from Canada after a long time and this place has brought us wonderful experience. The foods were great. The ambience is nice and the staffs are super friendly. I highly recommend their CARBONARA, fries, seafood platter and pizza.
Best brunch experience I’ve had in Hoi An. They have the best seafood platter and bbq vegetables with reasonable price. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for everyone. They also have Airbnb. Will comeback soon!
An absolute gem. The food is amazing and the service we received from Van and Luc was fantastic. We ended up going here 3 days in a row because it was so fabulous - lovely atmosphere, food and service, what more could you ask for. Highly recommend the ceviche and the seafood BBQ, especially the delicious oysters and fish! Thank you Van and Luc for looking after us.

Good location straight on the beach. Food is acceptable for turist, but nothing special. When at came time to pay, the waiter took my credit card back to the bar. A few minutes later I got a notification on my phone that my card had been charges. Yet... A few minutes later, the waiter came back down with my card, the machine and wanted to charge me again. I tried explaining him that he had already charged my card, but he seemed like he didn't understand, and called someone else on his phone, who also didn't seem to understand. In the end I grabbed the credit card machine and figured my way into past transactions and showed him. I sincerely hope it was a misunderstanding, but definitely not a place I would come back to. And warn every one who does go there not to pay with card... What if I didn't get instant notifications on my phone? Then I would have paid twice. Edit after comment from restaurant, correct the restaurant had only charged the actual amount and did want 2.5% more in the fees, but waiter inputted full amount +2.5% in front of me and not just the 2.5% that was missing payment, I clearly understood the waiter wanted the 2.5% card fee and also did pay that in cash.
Fantastic staff, mention Van our waitress. Freshly cooked seafood with beer reasonably priced. Approx $35 AUD filling 2 persons. A lovely swim at the beach front included for free. Highly recomended *****
I and my gf had a fanatic dinner on the beach! Pizza and hummus was the best. It was great to enjoy it in the sunset and stay for a few more beers watching the fishing boats after all calmed down.
Delicious pizza and fish salad. Very attentive waitresses and owners who offered to keep our leftover pizza in the fridge and heat up for us later. Came back many times during our stay.

Wow, wow, BEST French toast!! We went for breakfast the other day and were really happy with the food ~ made with love! The owner made us feel really welcome, very nice chill house music, and it's a nice quiet spot to hang out on the beach as well. Will definitely go back to try the pizza!

Lovely place to get away from it all and enjoy the beach. The restaurant offers comfortable seating and a growing menu, or you can take your order down on the beach on shaded loungers. We ordered the omelettes which came with fresh bread and a juice of choice. I can honestly say it was one of the best omelettes I've had in quire awhile.
Sam and Tao are just amazing! This place is located on a beautiful quiet beach. They serve great food and cocktails. We very much enjoyed spending the day here and will definitely return for more. Thank you for the exceptional service!

If you want to stay away from crowndy.that's a good place to chill .natural blue ocean with fresh breezes .Great pizza , burgers ,salads and cocktails .Must try Ton Ton pizza with a glass of wine .Really well match .Owner Sam and the chef are very helpful ,warm welcome.They also have some games to entertainment..And you will end of your day absolutely relaxing..I will definitely come back to enjoy the hide charm..
