My favourite spot in An Bang, hands down! Double Cat Bar serves up some of the best cocktails around — the chocolate martini is a standout. The owner and staff are always warm and welcoming, making it such a relaxed, friendly place to unwind. They also play great music — well for an oldie like me anyway! I’ve tried a few of their snacks too (all delicious!), though I’ll admit I'm here for the cocktails.

The place is very welcoming, good vibes and we sat Infront so nice to watch people passing by. They have good music and staff are very friendly. Toilet is very clean. Everything is great. Try this bar when in Ang bang Beach, Hoi An.

Sat on the street side. Service was quick and good. Great atmosphere. Toilets very clean. Drinks were exceptional. Some of the best cocktails I've had in Vietnam. Got quite a few and enjoyed them all. My fave was the aperol spritz. Got some terriyaki chicken skewers too and they were insane. Can't wait to come back next time im here

My 3rd time here! Every time I come to Hoi An I have to come here!!!! So surprised I didn’t leave a review before. The Passionfruit Mojito and Fried Vegetarian spring rolls are my Absolute favorites!!!!! The pork dumplings are cool. Great atmosphere! Great customer service! Great location! Great price!

Update Feb 2025 I enjoyed this spot in 2023 so we came back for drinks and snacks. I will say it's very packed with regulars but the drinks and service are as good as 2 years ago. Potent drinks, fresh local ingredients, decent happy hour, and Paloma salad absolute favorite. Has the best cleanest bathrooms and anti-mosquito protocols I've seen of late. The owner is friendly but absolute joy are the ladies behind the bar and service folks. Two thumbs up! ----- Reviewed Feb 2023 Nice bohemian New York style bar in middle of An Bang offer excellent cocktails and food service that rival the best restaurants in HoiAn. Came in 4 days in a row for their promotional martinis (my fav passionfruit and lychee). Everything was delicious especially the paloma salad. Recommend a visit pronto!

Friendly staff and friendly customers from Cananda. If you want to take a drink in chill area location closed to the beach, I recommend it. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to try the cuisine.

I’m going to be honest I wasn’t searching for this place, I came upon it because my phone battery died and I was lost 😂 fortunately I discovered this place, I was instantly drawn to the name (I love cats 🐈 🐈‍⬛ 🐈) and the lovely atmosphere. Happily stayed here for a drink and would happily return for another! The roses for international women’s day were an adorable bonus!

Went here for a so called “happy hour”, to find a cocktail menu appropriate for an entry level drinker (i.e. a teenager). My drink was fluorescent green and horrendous. (Sorry, no pic provided as I sent it back immediately, I did pay for it though). It was called Mystery Cats, it wasn’t mysterious, it was pineapple juice. I then went on to sample Tra Que Garden, it was also bad, but to a lesser degree. Soggy cucumber in flat soda. Leaves much to be desired. As always, lovely staff, likely not to blame. Saigon beer, always a safe bet. Will not be back.

Vibing little bar on the main drag of An Bang Beach. Cool tunes, nice staff and cosy environment. We had some delicious cocktails there. The only downside, and it's a big, big downside in 2025 - smoking is allowed inside the bar and on the deck. Come on guys - get with the times! Only rude and disrespectful people smoke these days next to other people...and you allow it. We quickly packed up and left once a table of over 60s started up. It smelt disgusting and ruined our time here. You need to have a no smoking policy in such small space.

If you want to meet the local expats, this is the place to visit. Food selection is kind of small, but everything is good. The owner is very welcoming. Staff highly attentive, in a good way. Plays lots of western oldies for music. Small, but almost always busy.

This Double Cat Bar in An Bang, Hoi An is one of our favorite places to visit while in Hoi An. Located in An Bang Beach, which is by the sea and 10-15 minutes from downtown Hoi An. This well-run, quaint restaurant bar is owned by a husband and wife who are very attentive and welcoming. We love everything about this place: The food, drinks, atmosphere and prices. They have live acoustical music on the weekends, lovely, homemade dumplings and a great following of expats and visitors. Don’t miss this very special restaurant and bar, you will not regret it.

Nice, family runned business. Had two Sandwiches (one veggie and one chicken) and a veggie pho (w Tofu). We can highly recommend the pho-tofu. The tofu was the best so far on our trip trough Vietnam!

Nice little bar that attracts foreigners. We had a glass of wine with grilled chicken satay, some Aperol spritzs and some Moscow mules. The cocktails were all super well made. The chicken was a very small portion, but it was delicious. Everyone is very friendly and they seem to know each other which makes the atmosphere very homey. Happy hour prices are very cheap for selected house drinks beer and wine and payment by card is possible for a 3% fee.

This is a cute place with a lively, older expat happy hour clientele. Pork dumplings are delicious as are the happy hour drinks. Owners are Vietnamese and very kind and friendly! Come visit and support the locals😊

Clearly, Double Cat is somewhat of an institution on An Bang. A mix of expats and tourists convene in an intimate setting, with prime seating roadside where people can easily intermingle and converse. The staff are polite, courteous, prompt and welcoming, and the bar offers a wide selection of classic and bespoke beverages. I did not order any food nor did any of my party, but cannot imagine it would in any way dissapoint. A great place to stop and get stuck on a bar crawl.

I tried the An Bang [something] cocktail which was nice, the dumplings are good, bit too crunchy on the pastry part.

Best gyoza in the area! So yummy! Owners are incredibly kind, and produce delicious gyoza, yakitori, and a unique tomato wonton. Absolutely stop by and give this local gem a visit or two.

Be careful with their happy hour! It says buy 2 cocktails get 1 cocktail free. In practice it means if you order 3 cocktails one of them is free. But if you order anything else you still have to pay the full price for it. Last evening we were here with 2 friends and ordered a juice, coffee and 2 cocktails. We paid a full price for everything, so it was a happy hour of nothing 😑 Cocktails were good thou (my favorite were passionfruit Mojito and Pina Colada), the setting is nice, I only wish they wouldn’t lure you in with the false promises 😏
